What Is The Photo Actually Used For?

Do MMI evaluators look at the photo before giving a score (e.g., if they want to go back to your score and change it relative to the other candidates)? Does the person who scores your overall file see it at any point? Is it true that it's used for your ID card if accepted?

 

Basically what I'm getting at is, should you make sure it is a professionally done and "good" photo of yourself to minimize the chance of (even subtle, subconscious) bias? Or does it really not matter?

From what I understand the photo is to make sure that the accepted person who shows up in September is the same one that interviewed   . Not used for ID card .

Also very doubtful that the MMI interviewers see the photo. There simply isn't enough time from when you arrive in the morning to when the MMI starts for them to make photocopies of each applicant's photo.

I was just happy that someone wanted a hard copy photo of my face lol.

Haha totally forgot about having to bring a picture and got mine taken last minute, the morning after a pretty fun night. So yeah, I'm hopeful as well.
