LPsavage
I was looking through the Accepted/Waitlisted/Regrets thread and I noticed a lot of individuals that seemed to have gotten in after a couple tries at the least. I was wondering if the second, third, etc. time around, what did you individuals change to improve your odds? Was it raising the MCAT score or was it approaching the interview differently? TechToMD
Applied with a 31 MCAT and received zero interviews. Re-wrote the following year to get a 521 and received 5 interviews. That is what made the difference.
Guest
What makes the difference is what stopped you from getting in before. If it was your scores, then change your scores. If it was your interviews, then change the way you approach the interviews. Someone with great scores who gets rejected post-interview does not need to re-write the MCAT or do a second undergrad. InstantRamen
I had a terrible MCAT and was unable to improve it, so I just tried to do better on the interview.
anneetime
For me, I think having completed my MSc instead of being in the middle of it at the time of applying was what landed me the interview at UBC, and improving my interview this year was what got me accepted.
