Where to apply with 125 CARS

Recommended Posts

Hi, I am a BC resident who scored a 129/125/128/130 on the MCAT. I am trying to decide if I want to retake it this summer or not. What Canadian Med schools are options for me (88% average thus far).

FYI, I applied to only UBC this year (currently a 3rd year) and missed an interview by 0.6 points.

You answered your own question, improve your NAQ and re-apply to UBC.

That said, a 512 total score is pretty decent overall, just unbalanced. You can try your luck at Queens, McMaster(you'd have to do really well on Casper to balance out the low CARS), Ottawa if your cGPA is decent.

U of T only requires 125's across the board.   If you have a +3.85 GPA, you can give it a go as well.

IMHO, even though your overall MCAT is brilliant,  I would re-write for a higher CARs to realistically open up MAC/Queens/Western
