  2. GPA Breakdown 1st Year Fall term GPA: 3.38 (3.25 credits) 1st Year Winter Term GPA: 3.16 (2.75 credits) - had 1 course with a 2.0 and another with a 2.3 in this term. 1st Year Spring Term GPA: 3.0 (0.5 credits) 2nd Year Fall Term: 3.54 (2.75 credits) 2nd Year Winter Term: 3.66 (2.5 credits) 2nd Year Spring Term: 4.0 (0.5 credits) 3rd Year Fall Term: 3.98 (2.5 Credits) cGPA so far: 3.52 - Currently in my 3rd year Winter Term. MCAT 131/124/132/130 (CP/CARs/BS/PS) - unfortunately due to my CARs score, I will have to rewrite Employment 1 year of being a TA 4 years of being a camp counsellor EC/Volunteer - I only listed the one's I've done in University 3 years of VP on club 4 months Founder and tutor of educational preparation program for high school students 1 year of being an orientation leader 1 year of Mentoring from a Medical School Student 1.5 years of volunteering in the hospital (both surgery and late-night shifts in ER) 3 years of intramural basketball - about to start volunteering for Canadian Blood Services in March. Research - Secured a research apprenticeship for the 3rd year Spring term - Will be doing an Honours Thesis in Fourth year - Poster Presentation in 1st year as part of a course evaluation - Another poster presentation that will also be a part of a mark in a directed study with a faculty member in the 3rd year spring term Awards 3x Term's Dean's Honours List i'm IP for Ontario, and will probably only apply to Ontario in the future I kind of understand my current chances, however it is always good to get people's perspectives on my current premed resume. I'm debating whether to do a 5th year or start a 2nd UG after graduating my first. My GPA in first year was super low and I'm trying my best to compensate for it. - UofT's weighting formula will probably not save me from my first year even if I completed 5 years because of the large amount of credits I have in first year (Waterloo's labs accounts as separate credits & will be included in GPA calculations). I was overwhelmed by the 8 final exams in my first term and didn't do as well on my written lab finals, dragging those marks from an 80-ish to a high 70-ish. Despite slightly recovering in my 2nd and 3rd year, my 1st year marks still weighs down my cGPA due to the larger amount of credits taken in that year. - My MAC HealthSci friends have all received interview invites this year as a 3rd year UG to most of the Ontario schools. I am genuinely happy for them, but knowing about their interview invites makes me realize that I am steps behind them. We're all the same age, from the same graduating classes in elementary school and high school, but it seems like I'm quite far apart in terms of intelligence from them. It's a tough feeling to handle. As for the MCAT, does any one have any tips they are willing to share for CARs? Despite doing well on my EK 101 VR book and AAMC questions, I didn't do as well as I thought I would for CARs on the actual test day.
