COVID-19 Impact on Electives and Clerkships
Darkchrono replied to divinecomedy's topic in Medical Student General Discussions
Udem restart on June 15th. We will prioritize doing core rotations and each student will have atypical schedule rotation before starting each new rotation. If not enough place available, some students might get no rotation. We still get 2 weeks of vacation this summer and Christmas and should finish rotation by April 19. -

Seem to be a good plan! Thanks for sharing! Hope to get something similar instead of not knowing when we will restart! -

They also told us that the reintroduction could be at different times depending on the situation meaning a part of students could be delayed more -

Thanks for the update! Indeed, I'm also curious to know what is the current situation with other universities. Currently, university of Montreal has told us that we are suspended till 1st June. However situation in hospitals don't seems suitable for teaching/security so I don't know if this date of return is realistic. We are currently doing online courses including Pharmacology which we should have done 1 week next May and November. This way we are "gaining back" 2-3 weeks. We haven't received any follow up from administration since 1-2 weeks :p -

University of Montreal cancelled everything until further notice as well yesterday evening -
I really like to use Onlinemeded.org which is video teaching similar to osmosis / board and beyond but based on clinical rotation for clerkship. You need to subscribe I believe but you can choose the free option which includes all the videos. It is perfect for quick review of various subject for all rotation including internal medicine. Highly effective for me, I do recommend!

Admission dans le contingent doctoral
Darkchrono replied to curieux's topic in General Quebec Discussions
Changement de site MEDECINE UDEM 2019
Darkchrono replied to DJMD's topic in University of Montreal Medical School

Darkchrono replied to MMteam20's topic in General Quebec Discussions
I use these and would say boards and beyond is gold if your university set its courses by systems. Almost every system, 80% of the objectives are available on B&B and very well explained. Also this add another source so you make sure you have really understood the concept. I read first aid approximately one week before the exam to review briefly very high yield points (it take around 2 hours and it is very well summarized). Pathoma is very good, however, B&B cover approximately the same topics than pathoma so it is not absolutely necessary. Using these focus on import
