  1. Once the admissions process begin, there will be a template you'll have to use that will be posted on the faculty's website. You essentially just fill in the blanks with your own experiences.
  2. it did to me too - they sent a second email saying that it was a mistake though and that as long as you upload your stuff on minerva you're good
  7. even if you're a graduating mcgill student? I was under the impression that they would just go and get it like they did back in november when applying. Thank you!
  8. I think what took so long was the work on sherbrooke and all the pipes they had to fix - my guess is that in a month McTavish should look brand new.. but then again we all know about construction work in montreal so there's no guaranty
  9. I was on campus the other day and guess what y'all????? They're finally working on the road on mctavish. If this doesn't make you believe in miracle, i don't know what will.
  10. to which province are you considered an in province? i honestly think you can keep trying here
  12. im no expert but imo your stats aren't that bad ... I think what would be really important now would be for you to reflect on what you think held you back this cycle and prevented you from getting interviews - GPA doesn't look that bad, ...you're planning to retake the MCAT - good... What about your ECs? You're saying they're above average - it's great that you have research but what about everything else? Also, do you think your way of presenting your ECs could have been improved? if so, you should certainly work on that for next cycle. I really think it's important to look back at your app a
  13. You still have a lot of room for improvement, but have you considered switching majors to something that may be easier than comp sci?
  14. As soon as I got my interview (about a month and a half? 2 months? im not 100% sure lol dont remember) - books can be useful but i didnt use any - what i really focused on was reflecting on the person that i am, life events etc. and i would make sure to incorporate that as much as i could in my answers ... be it one on one or scenarios ... they wanna know you and the person you are, so give them just that.
  15. My moto - if they got my money, they wont refuse me (or so i hope) en2k j'ai du payer 500$ après mon admission à mcgill ... j'en doute pas qu'à l'UdeM comme à McGill cet argent ira vers tes frais de scolarité donc c'est pas de l'argent perdu. Anyways, a moins que tu sois riche tu vas probablement prendre une marge de credit pour tout payer - you'll be more than able to pay back that 300$. mais bon, it's up to you.
  17. Second that - after my undergrad I applied with bellow the average stats and still got in without waitlist - yes grades are important but they're not all. If you wanna have control over you admission then you better work your ass off preparing for the MMIs, reflecting on the person you are and projecting that on interview day. And btw it may seem as though MMIs are super subjective but they're really not - They're standardized evaluations that account for evaluators variability. Anyways there are plenty of studies on the topic y'all can go check them out if you want.
  18. Plus I don't think there would be any point aside from feeding the med student God complex if you were ranked up right or crushing some of your self esteem if you scored low. bottom line, i agree with you haha!
  19. I don't think anyone in this forum can give you an official answer. Wait until you get your final official answer and then call admissions to discuss your options - if any. If I were you, I wouldn't risk my spot in any program based on what people may say is right or what they may think is right.
