  1. I just got a call on my home phone but I wasn't able to respond. So nervous right now - do they call back, or do I just assume that an email will come back. For some reason I can't see my caller history on my home phone. Edit: It was a private number, so I'm not sure if it's actually them .
  2. From what I heard, as they used your undergrad wGPA, they just want your overall wGPA to remain above the cutoff. If you applied as a Masters student, they would have taken your undergrad marks. If that's already over the cut-off, you're fine.
  3. Guys we made it this far, there's no reason to get discouraged. Ottawa is allowed to put us in whatever list they wish. Complaining about it won't make it feel any better to you. We're all great people and we must have done something right to get this far. Just think, for everybody you're envious of today, there's probably 10 that are vying to get where you are right now and may never get there. Just take your mind off of the waitlist for a couple weeks if that's going to help you and if it's meant to be, it'll happen .
  4. Update: He thought we were talking about Western, as I asked him shortly after noon. He got the same email as everybody else and thought he botched his interview, so I'm sure Mr. Duck is correct.
  5. My friend told me he got one that said he wasn't likely to receive an offer, but I'll check with him to see if he could send me the part of the email.
  6. One of my friends got a bad waitlist email. He didn't send me what it looks like, but he said "bad waitlist" and knows what it means. It's the same as last year. Edit: Update: He thought we were talking about Western, as I asked him shortly after noon. He got the same email as everybody else and thought he botched his interview, so I'm sure Mr. Duck is correct.
  7. They offer spots as they open. Theoretically, nobody could move if all 116 in the English stream decide to stay with Ottawa. But, due to multiple choices (and Ottawa not being the first choice for some applicants), some movement is always expected. I believe their first calls last year were on the 24th or 25th, so around 2 weeks after offering. They'll send an email out once the class is filled and there will be no more movement.
  8. Yep, and just to add. It does seem that Ottawa's waitlist does move a lot, especially when other schools begin sending out their acceptances later today.
  9. They have the same message, but bad waitlist has something along the lines of "Based on previous years, it is unlikely that you will receive an offer."
  10. If history serves right, the good waitlist generally moves very well, especially at uOttawa.
  11. Huge congrats to everybody that got accepted, at uOttawa or anywhere ! Let's all stress together, post lots of memes, and hope that the WL moves and we all get in!
  12. That's the good waitlist. If it doesn't have the line "it is unlikely that you will receive an offer," than that means you're on the good waitlist.
  13. Waitlist (Good Waitlist? I think because it doesn't say "it is unlikely that you will receive an offer") Time-Stamp: 7:37 AM GPA: 3.95 Stream: English Geography: IP EC: Lots, check interview thread Current Year: Graduated UG Interview: Felt good, messed up one question, but overall good. Hopefully the waitlist moves a lot this year .

  15. So essentially, if I were to apply to U of T this upcoming cycle, with my current GPA it's a toss up to luck. Should I just gave myself the extra 3 months to study for February DAT and put my eggs in 4th year cycle? I'm also keeping in mind the fact that I have no qualms with coming back to do a Masters but I would like to begin persuing my career, especially if specialization becomes a factor, as soon as possible. Thank you for all of the support so far.
