  1. As someone at the start of Internal Medicine residency right now who applied to both FM and IM, this question has definitely been on my mind a lot! My advice would be to think about your experiences in both electives and to weigh what you like and dislike about each. If you can't imagine yourself doing one of the specialties then its obviously an easy decision. For sure IM residency will be a lot more busy than FM residency with the call schedule (1 in 4 for at least half the year and probably at least 1 in 7 for the rest) and later the stress of the subspecialty match.   4. What does everyone think of the upcoming new UT Foundations Curriculum meant to replace the first two years of medical school, traditionally known as preclerkship? To quote the UT website: "The new program will be launched for students entering the U of T MD program in August 2016. It will feature a highly integrated program with clinical content from the beginning of medical school, early exposure to patients and the community setting, extensive use of online materials to support learning, and an assessment program designed to support learning."   5. Hey, I've heard some stories of bikes being stolen both on and off-campus. It's good that your bike is not too new so that shouldn't attract too much attention. But you definitely need to buy a good sturdy lock. There are some areas on campus that have surveillance cameras watching the bike parking areas and overall your bike should be safe here. I would recommend you not leaving your bike overnight in these places though.
