  1. Hey everyone - most interview dates/times I've seen have been first come, first serve, but UBC psychiatry weren't. Anyone know how they handed them out?
  2. Anyone who is studying at the U of A medical school and applying psych know why there's such a delay this year? It'd be nice to be able to book flights...
  3. Thanks! It's what I thought, but just wanted confirmation. I've decided to go through another branch, and the specific advisor for medical/dent students rather than the advisor I had. He tried his best, but I really don't think he had done many of them before, because I knew more about what they could offer than he did
  4. Hey guys, Anyone know any good med advisors in Calgary? I'm currently with RBC but am not sure if I am going to stick with them. I went to the bank today and was told by their advisor that 99% of the time medical students have to have a cosigner to get an LOC. Given that I've heard from basically everyone that that's not the case and to never accept having a cosigner, I'm not sure what to think. I have a sit down meeting scheduled for tomorrow to go over the actual numbers and determine if that's the case for me specifically, but I'm thinking that it might be a good idea to explore my opti
  5. This may be a really stupid question but I've never applied for loans (lived at home/worked all year to pay tuition in undergrad), and have also never attended school outside of my home province. I'm an Alberta resident but will be attending a school in Ontario. When applying for loans should I be doing that in Alberta, or am I supposed to apply for them through OSAP in Ontario? I'm sure there's somewhere I could find this info, but I've scrolled through both webpages and can't seem to find it.
  6. Not sure if this is an appropriate place for this since I'm not actually selling them (mods feel free to change its location if necessary), but I have a set of Princeton MCAT prep books for the new MCAT. I know MCAT prep can be expensive, so I just want to give them away to someone who needs them/might have a hard time affording them otherwise. I'm in Calgary, so if you'd like them, send me a PM and we can figure out a time for you to pick them up.
  7. Someone asked in the comments. Dr. Walker replied (with those numbers). Edited to clarify: Not in the comments to the new post, but the one right before that.
