  2. I cannot speak highly enough about Veena Janardhanan either! She really knows her stuff and really goes the extra mile for you!
  3. Hahaha and literally right after I posted that I got a call that my LOC came through. So now what's on my mind is how to break the news to my employer who I've only been working for 6 months...
  4. I was delayed in being able to process the application because I was in the middle of renewing my mortgage (another complicating factor). So I guess I'm nervous the mortgage might somehow impact my ability to get the LOC and also just feeling the need to get things wrapped up ASAP.
  5. Stressing hoping that my line of credit comes through or I won't be able to start at Mac as planned in September. Haven't told my job yet for this reason, and my employment contract requires 4 weeks notice. It's getting down to the wire...
  6. Hey guys- just heard back that they are backlogged at the moment, which explains the delay.
  7. Yeah same- I haven't heard back either...I'll email right now.
  8. I'm fortunate to pull in quite a generous salary, but like others said, when all was said and done I've spent several thousand on the MCAT, applications and interviews. I definitely cut back on disposable spending over the last year (but such will be the case when I go back to school in September as well). There are lots of creative ways to cut your household budget, it's all about making med school a priority. Edit: I also didn't apply out of province, the odds generally aren't stacked in your favor and I didn't want to move away from friends/ family.
  9. I called RBC and did not have a good experience with the Hamilton rep. He seemed rather inexperienced dealing with mature students with other commitments (such as a mortgage) and wasn't sure what he would be able to do for me. I did not leave our conversation feeling confident. He actually said he would "get back to me" once he explored some options, and that never happened (over 3 weeks ago). I have since connected with a Toronto RBC rep I'm feeling a lot better about.
  10. I just left it blank- I wasn't sure when it would be assigned.
  11. Has anyone sent in their vaccination records? I sent mine about a week ago and haven't gotten a confirmation yet.
  12. How did you get your police check so fast? Damn Toronto is slowwww!
  13. I believe the deposit is $1000 but I have no idea how long we have to send it in.
