Hey Everyone, Any recommendations on whether to go to RBC or Scotia? Are there any special deals people are getting this year? I'm having a hard time deciding between the 2. Thanks!

Hey Guys. Last summer I got my dream score on the MCAT, and I know the struggle of studying all too well. For me, it was the back pains from sitting for extended periods of time that REALLY killed me. Luckily, a friend recommended me some natural pain oil (I was super skeptical at first) but it was UNREAL. It really held down my pains during those 7 hour exams. For any fellow brothers and sisters that suffer from aches and pains from sitting (I'm a pretty active person), this is your cure!! Thankfully I found the Amazon link if anyone is interested: https://www.amazon.ca/FlexTone-Nat

Cheap notary Vancouver?
Premed6 replied to Lmed31's topic in University of British Columbia Medical School
Mr. Shah is a really good guy if you are looking for a notary in the Tri-City area. He charges about 30-40 for all the documents. Pretty reasonable. https://www.notaries.bc.ca/contactUs/contactDetails.rails?contactId=220 -

Has anyone figured out how to make the alumni email... I'm following the instructions, but it seems like the website isn't working properly.

Hey Everyone, I know the struggle of the MCAT very well (too well!), and this summer I finally received my dream score (515). I decided to start advising fellow students on what materials are the best, and how to make the ultimate study plan! I also have great tips for CARS (I went from 123 --> 128). Here is my ad if anyone is interested: https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/pml/lss/d/top-mcat-advising-get-515/6545920138.html Thanks!! Let me know if you have any questions!

Hey! I'm flying from Vancouver for my interview in March and I was wondering if there are any med school events that are happening? I know a lot of other schools do this so just wanted to check. Thanks!

From last year's stats to the stats that just came out today, it appears like the TFR has decreased to get an interview: 1. 51.67/100 this year vs. 52.91/100 last year However, at the very end of the page where is says "Interview Candidates" the Average AQ last year was 27.48 for 87.75% GPA. This year the Average AQ is 27.47 for 88.05% GPA. So nearly identical AQ scores, but the % are definitely different. Is it possible they changed the AQ Formula this year? So that means the TFR decrease is not really a decrease at all....

Interview Invites & Regrets 2017/2018
Premed6 replied to apple_med's topic in University of British Columbia Medical School
On the interim stats it says Average AQ was 25.53 and the overall/adjusted GPA was 86.86. Does this mean that 86.86 gets you a 25.53 AQ score?? Or are there other variables involved. -
Do you guys think that references have been emailed yet to verify our work/volunteer? Does anyone know if this has happened yet. I believe it happened around this time last year.

Yup, still on the waitlist. I think historically it ranges from 0-2. -
