  1. Despite all this, I still want to pursue it, medicine is my passion and I don't mind the sacrifices that come with it if I can practice in something that I love and interests me. Can you please advise me based on this? I'm willing to do what it takes, I just need to overcome my past GPA.
  2. Is this only if I choose to go outside of North America? Does this apply to pursuing a DO school in the states even?
  3. Hi,I've been in university for 6 years now doing an engineering major (I switched majors half way through) at a Canadian university. I still have a bit of schooling left. During all 6 years I worked full-time so I was taking as little as 2 courses a semester, most semesters 3 courses, and my first year I did 5 courses each semester. I'm wondering how Canadian and US DO/MD schools do GPA calculations for this?Is it just a cumulative, or do they only take the full time course load. My GPA in past years wasn't stellar, should I be salvaging my GPA by taking 3 courses a semester while working full

  8. Hello Everyone, Since I've been young I've always dreamed of going to medical school, I've always been at the top of my class, I was IB in high school, pretty strong extra curriculars. I went to university for Biological Sciences, for the first four years of my undergrad I suffered from a chronic and severely debilitating health issue, I was also at the time in an emotionally and physically abusive relationship. Half way through my undergrad I gave up on my dream due poor grades as a result of my circumstances at the time. After my fourth year, I decided to switch into a degree more pract
