premed_67 reacted to applebanana in Another question about post-interview scores
Based on my understanding, they require applicants to have a minimum interview score (say 60%). If an applicant scores below 60%, they are automatically rejected no matter what their GPA is. If an applicant scores above 60%, then he/she proceeds to the ranking process. In this ranking process, applicants are ranked based on a combined score of GPA and interview performance.

premed_67 reacted to PlasticSurg in Another question about post-interview scores
I think that for each student, he/she is given an interview score (whatever it is out of idk) and the wGPA that they have. The system/excel couples these two scores to create a final score. A rank order list is created based on the COMBINED scores. Those with the highest COMBINED scores get admitted, which implies that those with higher wGPAs are at greater advantage.
That's my understanding

premed_67 reacted to docvibe in Another question about post-interview scores
Based on what is written, I think applicants are assigned a score strictly based on their interview performance. Afterwards, if two applicants have competitive scores, the one with the higher WGPA will be admitted. That's just how I interpret it, but I don't think anyone really knows for sure!

Just want to say how awesome it is that you have risen above your past negative experiences! You’ve succeeded in getting into medical school. I think this shows that you have great interpersonal skills. Don’t decline an offer based on past experiences. Best of luck with medical school, I’m sure you’ll be great!

Depends on the school - you can go to their specific forum and see when they've released them the last few years! i.e. Queen's = usually early morning

If anything I'm planning on sleeping in that day so decisions are out when I wake up

Time's been passing oddly slowly for me. I wonder if it'll speed up now...

Thank you guys for keeping me company during the wait! Knowing I wasn't in the only one made it a lot easier, and I appreciated your humour and kind words.
It looks like third time lucky for me, I'm so happy to be here. To those waitlisted or still working towards getting in, hang in there! You are strong and have amazing things ahead of you.

I decided to take one for the team haha
here’s an update: first off, just wanted to acknowledge how kind the lady at the office was!
She said the same thing she says to everyone, that they will be out before the end of the month.
BUT
she added, and I quote: “we are in good shape”
Sorry that it’s not very helpful

I’m heading to the Tupper in an hour, if I have the courage to go to admissions, I’ll ask and update everyone!

premed_67 reacted to Mel96 in Accepted 2019
I sent someone to ask and they just got back to me and told me they said that "things are finalized to a certain extent" but there they are still not ready to release the decisions. She also said there are still moving parts and different people working on different things. They have to finish the checklist before hitting that send button. She made it seem like the things they are working on is everything that happens after the results are released she said "we are working on the next step after people get admitted and working on the small details"
I honestly can't even make a prediction at this point. It could be this week or next week. But brace yourself..... decisions will arrive sooner or later.
