Cardiorespiratory physio does not involve the same level of manual therapy. Even ortho positions vary. I know some PTs that work in ortho and prefer a more hands off and more active approach (still not completely hands off however). There’s always paediatrics as well. Much less strenuous to work on a smaller body!

It may depend on where you are applying. I noticed when I did my applications that some schools seemed to care more about experience than others. Queen's and Western both had emphasis on experience. Mac and U of T were more about assessing if you'd make a good clinician (problem solving, communication, leadership, etc).
