Laptop/technology recommendations
Jimbo replied to Instagrammar's topic in Medical Student General Discussions
Would you go back and type them after that or how did that work? Seems like if you print the slides it would get really expensive too. Did you have issues keeping it all organized? -

Sort of related, has anyone found a place that will do it for you or are you just doing it at home? Costco/Walmart wouldn't give me the digital copy.

Letter for the police information check
Jimbo replied to Dragonfly_19's topic in University of Alberta Medical School
Your offer of admission talks about it so that might suffice? I may be wrong but I think no matter what you are going to have to pay for it as it is not for a charity so they should just do it if you pay them. I'm in the same boat as you though so hopefully someone more knowledgeable chimes in. -

Patiently Waiting for May 15th

I would work on continuing your volunteering and make it regular. Get to know your verifier/reference really well. I thought I didn't have great EC's so I worked my ass off preparing for the interviews. Just because you passed doesn't mean you can't do better. Practice a lot. When you do the math comparing the importance of the interview to a single EC, it's vital IMO. Quick question for GH0ST: are ECs prior to medical school included in your CaRMS applications or is it only during medical school?

Geography: IP GPA: 3.96 undergrad, 3.8ish for grad studies MCAT: 521 Degree: Bachelor and Masters in Biochemistry E.C: Not amazing (not good enough for Western or Ottawa or UBC), lots of research, decent amount of volunteering, couple trips, arts, sports, etc. Casper did not got that well but I got in anyways. Would have prepared far better next time. Interview: Honestly felt pretty standard and I enjoyed it. I prepped quite intensely. Didn't feel like it had a ton of curveballs either. I had 4 interviews and it was the 3rd one but I also thou

Jimbo replied to soruke123's topic in University of Calgary Medical School
That's what I've heard many times so I was a little confused. Interested to see if nunu posts or if anyone agrees with him. Something I'm actually struggling with a little right now as I might end up with a couple offers haha.- 16 replies
