  1. sorry in advance if this is an unhelpful answer, but i think the only thing i can really say in response to your question is maybe, unfortunately :/ as you said, contacting admissions would likely be the best course of action, especially since they would ideally be able to appraise from that course description whether or not it should fit their "Chemistry" requirements. personally it sounds like to me that it would fit the prerequisite (i think my general chemistry course was similar in its content) but i can't give you a definitive answer since i'm obviously not part of admissions hehe t
  2. Program: MD Result: Rejection Timestamp: 2:40 PM EST OMSAS GPA: 3.71 CARS: 127 IP/OOP: IP Casper: uhhh genuinely no idea :/ wasn’t feeling confident at all given my GPA and CARS but i’m pretty worried about my casper performance for other schools..... wishing everyone all the best regardless of if you received an invite or not!!! i’m rooting for all of you
  3. hey!! i'm also on the fence and unsure about whether to do it or not :/ i think i'm leaning toward doing it just because i feel weird about leaving it incomplete and i'm hoping that submitting it can't hurt?? (although i'm not confident in my interviewing skills at all so...... yikes) also did queens tell you that they would look at snapshot in an email or something? i know ottawa has it listed as "optional" now but since queens had their snapshot listing as "not required" i was under the impression that they wouldn't be looking at it at all and regarding the suit concern, please d
  4. hey!! for the spelling of the email, i'd personally i'd email omsas and ask them if they could do anything about changing it. if they can't, i'd then probably try to contact uottawa admissions directly and hopefully they would accomodate the change? not super sure if this would work but i don't think it hurts to try as for the family member verifier question, i really don't think they would throw it out -- on the r/premedcanada subreddit, a user who contacted the school about this mentioned that uottawa said that "since the verification process is a random audit, they may or may not stu
  5. OH MY GOD CONGRATS!!!!! i am so so soooo happy for you!!! you've been such a kind and supportive presence in this thread and you are SO very deserving of this acceptance. best of luck with med school, i'm sure that you're going to do such great things :')
  6. i think it's still possible for that to happen!! i'm guessing they just send the "class full" email when it fills up at first so it helps people plan out their upcoming year with a little more certainty (since class movement after this point is probably only 1-2 people at most, i would guess)
  7. just got the "class full" email too!! everyone in this thread is incredible and i really wish you guys all the best for the future :') this whole waiting process was pretty taxing ngl but the support here made it so much easier so tysm to everyone for that
  8. OH MY GOD CONGRATS!!!!! so happy for you
  9. i have a similar time too and my interview was on the last day as well!
  10. they use the weighted gpa as long as you have the required full-time course load (normally 5 courses, but 4 courses is allowed if you have summer courses or extra courses in other years -- you can see more about it here)
  11. it's no problem at all!!! and you can definitely do it in the year you're applying! i personally just finished my biochem prerequisite like two weeks ago and i applied this cycle you just need to have your prerequisites completed by june 30 in the year that you would be matriculating!
  12. i don't have any firsthand experience with the university, but on this forum i've seen that people have often taken online courses for uottawa prerequisites at Athabasca University (i'm guessing it would be this for orgo 1 and this for orgo 2) there may be other universities that are offering orgo online right now so you could maybe cross-register with them?
  13. Stream (EN/FR): ENTime You Received E-mail: 7:47"Created" Time: 7:46:56wGPA: 3.87 "good" waitlist but pretty sure i'm at the bottom of it given my email creation time and wGPA so not feeling hopeful at all haha best of luck everyone!!
  14. waitlisted! i can’t figure out how to tell the time the email was sent from the outlook app on my phone lol so i’ll update later if i ever do congrats to everyone that received an offer!!!
  15. gonna attempt to sleep too..... fingers crossed for everyone here!!! praying you all get good news even with all of this button confusion going on
  16. RIGHTTTT i feel like everyone has the button hahaha
  17. SUUUUUPER DUPER happy for you!!!!!! congrats!!!!
  18. i've been looking through the waitlist support threads from previous cycles (i'm freaking out and mentally preparing myself too ahh ) and i think admissions sends an email out to the interviewees (or maybe just the people still on the waiting list?) when the class is officially full! i think the most waitlist movement is from late may to early june after mostly everyone has confirmed their offers on omsas, but i'm guessing someone could theoretically get off the waitlist all the way up until right before classes start if a person who confirmed their offer decides to not go anymore last mi
  19. ME TOOOOO my interview answers haunt me every day...... why can't i remember stuff this well for exams
  20. totally feel you, i'm in the exact same situation with ottawa!! so worried because even if the interview went better than i thought it did my gpa is gonna weigh me down ahhhh
  21. wow this is super helpful!! thank you so much for sharing it here
  22. my friend contacted them about this a few days ago! they said: "As COVID-19 has made rapid and unexpected changes to our lives, including the winter academic session, we are currently monitoring the situation closely. We will be revising our policies as needed. For the time being, we are recommending all candidates and potential candidates to continue to adhere to our current eligibility criteria. More information to follow in the coming weeks and months." so i guess there's no confirmation on whether it's for sure "alright" or not yet :/ but i would hope that they would be more lenient
  23. if you right-click on a page you can use inspect element to see the html/css i think?
