  1. Science. I majored in cellular, molecular, and microbial biology and minored in psychology. I also completed an honours research project.
  2. Thanks Meridian, but I can only apply to UBC because of my family unfortunately.
  3. Hey guys, just really considering whether to do a second degree and would love some opinions.... My cGPA is 3.35 and my aGPA is 3.5. The last 2-3 years of my undergrad (I did 5 years) I had 3.8-4.0 GPA. I'm considering a second degree to become more competitive, since I will never be able to wipe out those horrible first two years of my undergrad. I will only be applying to UBC since my family is based here. If I were to do a second undergrad, would UBC only take my recent undergrad marks or combined the marks from both? By the time I apply I'll be closer to 40 since right now I have a 4 month old. I'm 33. Though I want to slowly start studying and preparing for the MCAT now so I can ace it when the time comes. I have always wanted to apply to medicine but got married and had kids first so took a little detour. I wish you all the best of luck! Where are you applying?
  6. Hey all! I'm considering finally applying to med school after 10 years of waiting (got married, moved to a new country, and started a family in that time). It's always been my goal and now that I'm finally back in Canada I want to seriously get started on what I need to do to get there. The dilemma is my low GPA. My aGPA is 3.5. I botched the first two years of my undergrad due to reasons I won't disclose here. Now I'm wondering what the best route is to improve my GPA. Do I really need to put in another 4 years and all the money and effort that goes with it just to improve my GPA or
