  3. Thanks so much for your reply!!! I really appreciate the boost regarding my score too lol, I've written it 4 times over the past 3 years, it's hard to feel good about it! Speaking of ECs... Do you know if Queens prefers any certain type of EC? I have no idea if what I have is good enough lol! Thanks again - and best of luck this cycle!!!
  4. Hey guys! Hope you're all doing well I'd really appreciate some perspectives on my chances at Western and Queens specifically! MCAT: 514 (127/127/128/132) 2YGPA: 3.87 Thanks in advance!!
  5. thanks for your reply!! I took two courses fall 2019, one course winter 2020.. I took full time courses for my 3rd and 4th year. For Queens, because my fifth year was part time, would this make them take my cGPA instead?
  6. Hey guys - just realized I may have screwed my chances at medical school. I applied to queens and western. My third and fourth years are the 3.88 and 3.87 respectively. I did a fifth year in 2020 and took three courses, which was my biggest, dumbest mistake because I ended up with a calculated 3.5 gpa here. I am terrified Queens will take this year and my fourth year as my last two, leaving me at a 3.68 gpa. Have I screwed myself over?
  7. Thank you for the message, this is very helpful! I think I'll go into it assuming I didn't get in.. would you have any advice for what I should focus on this year to improve my chances? Thanks again!!!
  8. Hey guys, congrats to those who have finished the application process! I know this is a super redundant post, but if anyone could tell me what my chances are looking like, I would really, really appreciate it... if I'm headed for rejections, I hope to be able to prepare myself for them. MCAT is 514: 127/127/128/132 2YGPA: 3.88 (cumulative is 3.61) My extracurriculars are strong - awards, president of large non profit, accessibility research, etc. I've applied to Western, Queens and Mac... any thoughts are greatly appreciated!

  10. Thank you so much, this has been extremely helpful, more than I can express! I've been getting a 127-128 CARS in practice with about 2 months out until my test. Is it really possible to get an interview with Mcmaster with a 3.62 cGPA? I think I can get to 129 CARS, but my gpa is so low I've been searching all over the place but it's still unclear - does Mcmaster include every course in their calculations, including summer courses?
  11. Thank you very much for the advice everyone! I really appreciate your summary of the schools I might have a chance with. I was wondering if you might have any advice for CARS? Thank you again!
  12. Thank you for your reply, that's really helpful and offers a fair bit of hope. I don't have some of the prereqs Ottawa asks for, namely the organic chem and biochem courses - do you think they would be worth taking so I can apply?
  13. Thanks for letting me know - I'm in Ontario!
  14. Hi everyone, I was hoping for a bit of insight on my chances for the upcoming cycle! I'm quite new to the forum and not sure if this is the right place to post - forgive me if I've gotten it wrong! I'm in Ontario. my last two years of undergrad calculate out to a 3.88, but my CGPA is a 3.62. I am applying to Canadian schools exclusively this year and I'm planning to choose those which take your last two/two best years.. I know Western and Queens, but would be really grateful for some other suggestions of where I could apply. I'm taking the MCAT in late August. Not sure if it changes
