  1. I was (and still am according to Minerva) #5 on the OOP waitlist and the website (https://www.mcgill.ca/medadmissions/after-youve-applied/waitlist-post-interview) shows that the OOP waitlist has moved to #5. I haven't yet gotten an offer yet though! I wonder what's up.
  2. https://www.mcgill.ca/medadmissions/after-youve-applied/waitlist-post-interview The website's showing that offers haven't been sent out since March 25. Now that the rest of the country has sent out acceptances, I'm curious why the McGill waitlist (OOP specifically) hasn't started moving yet. Does anyone know when they usually update it, based on previous years? Thanks!
  3. Result: Accepted Site Location: Saskatoon (1st choice) Time Stamp: 15/05/12020 - 9:42 AM EST GPA: 3.84 (not sure about %, sorry) MCAT Score: 524 Location: OOP (Ontario) Degree: Graduated M.Sc. Interview: The only one of my interviews which I knew I did really well in. I will be declining the offer, but best of luck to my fellow OOP peeps, congrats to everyone who was accepted, and good luck for those on the waitlist!
  4. Accepted/Waitlisted/Regrets: Accepted In Province (IP)/ Out of Province (OOP): OOP AGPA (x.xx/4.5): No idea. My GPA /4.0 is 3.84 MCAT (xx.xx/528): 524 Rural/Non-Rural: Non-rural Advanced Academics (PhD, pubs, academic appointment): 0 I am really happy and grateful to have gotten this email, but I will be declining! Good luck to all my OOP (especially Ontario) peeps! You've got this!!
  5. Same situation as @Malulu123 - will reject Manitoba/Sask as I'm debating between Western and McGill. From what I've read, the OOP waitlist moves a lot at Manitoba/Sask. Good luck!
  6. Will an email or something be sent out about housing recommendations / finding a roommate? Thanks!!
  7. That's a shitty situation. I'm going to go against the grain and say that you should consider declining Mac. It's true that it's not 100% whether or not you'd be accepted to Western (and if you are, it could be Windsor campus) but there's probably a 90%+ chance you will be. It's up to you whether that 10% is worth moving away from your fiancée, and either decision would be understandable - I don't think it's as clearcut as taking Mac's offer because (in this situation) a small risk seems worth it. As for asking Mac to extend your offer, I doubt they would, but you may as well email them.
  8. Does anyone know if there's a Facebook group yet? Congrats to all those who got offers! Excited to meet you (hopefully in-person but maybe not) in the fall!

  10. Does anyone know what the program codes on OMSAS stand for? Mine says MDR which I thought meant downtown (Hamilton) campus, but the email I received from them says Waterloo campus. It doesn't matter to me personally since I won't be accepting Mac's offer, but just curious.
  11. Haha, I was gonna say they must have *really* liked your essays to overlook the minimum requirements. Congrats on your acceptance!!
