  1. Hi,

I am currently a research-based master's student studying in Canada.
My GPA is around 3.9 and I have a 514 MCAT score. I have decent volunteering and employment experience (shadowing, hospital volunteering, tutoring, awards, undergrad research). I plan to apply to the following schools and any opinions on my choices will be appreciated:

    Central Michigan
    Thomas Jefferson
    Boston
    Tulane
    Giesel
    George Washington
    West Virginia

I know this is a limited list but so many schools either need two semesters of general chem (I only have one) or do not accept P/F credits.

  2. I currently have my PI (who I'm doing research with for my Master's) and a professor who I work for as a TA. Since the requirements for referees were modified I was wondering if I could use the president of the club for my department as a referee. He is a PhD student, knows me well and can write a supportive letter

Is it a good idea to choose the president as a referee? Will it hold much weight in the eyes of the adcom?

  3. Hi all,

I am applying to medical schools this year and I will most certainly need help with essays for schools like UofT, and OMSAS ABS list and statements. Here is my history:

    - This will be my third time applying. The first time I applied my CARS was really low, and I was below the cut-offs for most schools
    - Currently doing my master's
    - Graduated from UofT in 2019 with a 3.9+ cGPA
    - 514 MCAT (127 CARS)
    - ECs: Club leadership roles, volunteering in hospitals, sports, Awards, and some more

Note: I am also going to apply to US schools and probably the Caribbeans.
