NWL@UWO had the earliest timestamp at 9:05 a.m. and s/he was also the first one on the forum to get offered a spot off NWL. If someone got the normal waitlist e-mail at 9:05, but hasn't been offered a spot yet then that probably means that there is no correlation. Has this happened to anyone?
Even if it doesn't eventually mean anything its an innocent way to pass the time this week  
When did the rest of you on the NWL get your waitlist e-mail on May 12?

I was getting worried we weren't going to clear that - which would be bad news for waitlisters, and also add a lot of stress in general (this may sound a bit silly but I want people to have faith in the high waitlist system if they are going to have one). 
hopefully we can move deeper into the NWL now.

I got into both this year. Departments don't overlap, they have separate admin. 

gosh so hard! So far things don't look super different from other years on the analysis front. Mac is a bit of wild card, but overall we are similar. I expect the high wait list to clear pretty quickly, and then get start on the normal list!
hang in there - this is a hard time obviously! No matter what happens getting an interview means you are really on the right track. 

So last year was the first time they dropped the CARS to 127 and introduced ABS... I do think 10-20 NWL gets in every year, and NWL is probably around 40 ppl in it. As someone mentioned that 1/3 to 1/2 of NWL get clears depending on each year, just praying for this year half of it to be clear  :) 

Classmate of mine actually left dentistry for med after 1st year, so they must really not care...

It certainly wouldn't be fair if the two negatively impact one another, so that's probably not the case. I have friends who got in both UofT dent & med, and friends who got in both Western dent & med this year!

If you are applying to american schools it is frowned upon. It means you don't know what you want to do. Dental school is hard, I'll recommend you go in knowing why you want to do it. That's the only thing that will motivate you when times get hard.
