don't know if it helps, but I went to a public SLA program and got 38,5 cote globale (this application season).... the program scared people, was considered very hard, so only good students applied, which got our IFG up. I calculated, and my group's IFG was around 1,55. If in my public SLA program its possible to get that, I'm sure you'll get 39+ in selective/private SLA programs.

Hi ! I was just wondering, do you guys know if applying to more than 2 programs at McGill is allowed? For instance, I want to apply to four programs, but I've completed my application for only two (I was not able to add any more on that application). I applied to Med-P and physiotherapy/occupational therapy. I also wanted to apply to Dent-P and nursing, but that would mean to fill up a second application. I was scared my second application (nursing and dent-p) will delete the first two (med-p and physiotherapy/OT) ... UDEM scared me with that because on their website, when I applied to m

Quelles sont mes chances?
alex686 replied to Med-dream101's topic in University of Montreal Medical School

I am so surprised... I'm In my last session out of 4 of SLA at a (very) public cegep and I heard our class average gives 32,6 ish r score... maybe covid altered the selections of candidates in such a way that it was hard for admission committee to choose the best students for programs with high r score reputation, thus lowering the general IFG and average r score. I'm really sorry this happened, I understand choosing a program for the IFG and making sure to work hard for that score, but the fact that many Cegepiens had the same experience might lower the minimal r scores a lot... or lower

Med School as a single mom- possible?

hi Maude! i was in elementary school when my single mom immigrated and redid her whole doctorate and residency (she was an infectious deseases specialist, with fellowship in HIV in our east European country), but she did choose family medicine instead of infectious diseases (2 years vs 5+ for the same speciality) to shorten her education a bit. She doesn't regret her choice of switching at all, she thinks its the best decision she ever made. (also she had to learn a new language to study in, so it was not an easy ride) We didn't have family here either (8h plane distance), but when you're in m
