  1. Hi all! I haven't been on this website in forever now. I am tired and procrastinating studying right now, and was thinking about where I was a year ago. I thought I would write a quick note to you all, sorry for any bad grammar... like I said I am tired, med school is super busy right now. Sooo, like many of you, I eagerly watched the forums and stayed up late to see my results got caught up in the whole button gate. I was lucky enough to get three interviews with Ontario Schools last cycle. I'll be honest I didn't handle the stress of applying to medical school well, I waited up
  2. Hi Western med students! I have started a youtube channel geared towards Canadian Premeds to hopefully help them with the process of applying to medical school. I recently did a video with a UofT med student that focused on Toronto's essays. Since western also has essays I was wondering if any students would be interested in doing an interview/video with me on these essays! Here is a link to my video on the Toronto essays: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKRkYrERhJo&t=32s Feel free to DM me or if you want to stay anonymous on premed101 DM on my instagram account @the

  7. Hi ornge, I would say I had a lot of standard stuff, research, publications, clinical experience, some hobbies (music and sports). I had some work experiences where i was a supervisor as well. Probably the thing that was the most unique was I fostered a service dog! It was something i always wanted to do so didn't really do it for the sake of making me a better applicant. Hope this helps!
  8. I’m starting med school and just started one! Doing some videos to help premeds with omsas applications soon so check it out https://youtu.be/4wdhPJYN-dQ
  9. Hi! I am an incoming medical student who will start at Queen's. I recently did some one on one consults for med school as part of a fundraising initiative for BLM. I found it really enjoyable to talk to premeds and hopefully helping them by answering questions and offering advice. I remember how much it meant to have a med student offer their opinion about my application. So I decided to start a Youtube and Instagram channel so I could connect more with the premed community and document my next four years in med school.
