  1. Hey HopefulStudent2938, I received my interview confirmation at 7:15pm, thankfully got my first choice. Hope that helps! Cheers, Philo
  2. Hello! I hope everyone's doing well. Congratulations to all of you with interviews! I was hoping to prepare with a fellow Ontario applicant for the panel interview (e.g., practice sessions once or twice a week, exchanging constructive feedback and resources). Please feel free to PM me if you're interested. Wishing the best to everyone! Go rock that interview with your maturity, resilience, introspection, empathy, and gosh darn amazing personality! Cheers, Philo
  3. Hi Gliostudies, First and most importantly, CONGRATULATIONS on the interview!!! I was able to activate my Western Identity, I entered the access code and student number from my email. Are you by any chance a current/former Western student? If so, the email says that you do not need to activate your Western Identity because it is already active. If not, maybe reach out to them by email to figure out what's going on? I hope that helps. Cheers, Philo
  4. Hey again! I was redirected to a browser that let me enter the access code and Western student number ID. I set up all my security questions, password and then (out of curiosity, and maybe a little excitement) I hopped onto https://student.uwo.ca/ and was able access my student center account! Please note, the student center will be unavailable on Sundays until 6am due to maintenance; so you better hop on before or after that to see it while it's working! Hope that helps, and thank you for the kind wishes! Cheers, Philo
  5. Hi Voldy, First and foremost, CONGRATULATIONS ON THE INTERVIEW!!!! I have been able to set up up Western student ID. Make sure to only write the six-digit OMSAS number, removing the 2021 before it. When you get to the part asking for your Western number ID, make sure to enter the nine-digit Western student number included in your invitation email, not the Western user ID they give you; it took me a moment to figure that out, lol. If all else fails, email them. I hope that helps you and other folks! Sending you loads of positive vibes! Good luck with the interview, you got
  6. Time Stamp: 3:18 pm EST Invite/reject: Invite....STILL SHAKING!!!! Will be reading through the email slowly after feelings have settled! IP/OOP: IP SWOMEN (Y/N): N 2YGPA: 4.0 MCAT (CHEM/CARS/BIO/PSYCH): 128/127/127/128 Essays (X/8): 8/8 essays, and I used the "About you" essay to give them insight into my lived experiences (e.g., overcoming adversity), because why not? Repeated one experience/activity, and I worked on the essays for about three days.
  7. Hello! Thought I’d get this set up as the time for interview decisions grows near. Wishing all applicants the best! Take a moment to revel in your success (invites), reflect on the no-nos (regrets), and adapt your hustle. Oh, and maybe just maybe take a break from here to chill a little while? I’ll be here when you’re back to check, I promise. Cheers, Philo P.S. And here’s the template: Time Stamp: Invite/reject: IP/OOP: SWOMEN (Y/N): 2YGPA: MCAT (CHEM/CARS/BIO/PSYCH): Essays (X/8):
  8. Hiya again, You're very welcome! Yes, and for OOP folk: remember that is 11:59 pm AST. Knock that MMI out of the park! Cheers, Philo
  9. Hi Waffles312, I sent an email to Carolyn about this issue, and you'll be relieved to hear that the deadline is indeed November 6th for both the photo and government ID. I've attached a screenshot of the email below. Best of luck to everyone interviewing! Cheers, Philo
  10. To answer your question, I believe it went really well for me. I was able to answer all of the questions, and re-read/edit some responses. I think it was the result of a combination of working on my typing speed (80ish wpm; nothing too spectacular), making note of my personal experiences that would be relevant to answering the personal CASPer questions, and using the PPRDJ approach to answer ethical prompts. Finally, the hardest thing I had to convince myself of was not getting tied up over misspelling a word or forgetting a comma; time is limited and little mistakes do not affect scoring (at
  11. Hiya, I cannot believe I finally get to post on this thread! OOP (Ontario) - Invite!!! (1:09pm EST) GPA: 3.9 MCAT: 510 CASPer: Thought it went really well! Maritimes Essay: I was honest about having no familial/residential connection to the Maritimes, instead I focused on my lived experiences and challenges similar to those faced by marginalized communities in the Maritimes; this was my 'intrinsic' connection. Furthermore, I explained what drew me to Dalhousie and why it was the right fit for me. Congratulations to everyone that received invites, and best of luck
