  1. Congrats to everyone for completing this long cycle!! I thought I'd post this for future reference even though it's a bit late- so excited to meet those in the incoming class! Result: Accepted MD/PhD (VFMP) Geography: OOP Early or Regular Deadline: Regular Timestamp: Around the second week of March AGPA: ~94% MCAT (CPBS / CARS / BBFL / PSBB): 514 (131/126/129/128) Current Degree (UG/Bachelors/Masters/PhD): BSc 2021 Interview: This was my first live interview and I honestly thought I bombed the acting station and one other station, with the rest being mo
  2. Result: Rejected Timestamp: 10:02am wGPA/cGPA: 4.0/3.99 MCAT: 514 (131/126/129/128) ECs: Mostly research heavy, some conferences and papers, two long term volunteering commitments, very little other ECs Essays: Spent a couple weeks writing after thinking on the questions for a month-ish (there's no space for this but I think I had really strong references who I have very strong connections with, not sure how much that ended up weighing into the equation) Interview: This was actually my favourite interview, I felt like I connected with the questions and I had a go
  3. Time Stamp: 9:09 am Result: Good WL cGPA: 3.99 Stream: English Year: Graduated UG this year Already withdrew from the waitlist since I'm accepting another offer- best of luck to everyone
  4. Rejected (OOP) Score: 73.4, GPA: 4.0, MCAT: 514 First time applicant with below average essay and interview- not surprised but thankful for this opportunity Congrats to everyone accepted and fingers crossed for those waitlisted!! All the best ^^
  5. Yep I got scheduled in the afternoon as well despite indicating a conflict, but cant complain since I did say my other interview was in the morning. I think it'll be good to get them done on the same day while in the interview mindset but that may just be me
  6. This is late but thought I'd throw this in in case it's of help to anyone TIME STAMP: Feb. 19 10:20 AM Result: Interview (MD) IP GPA: 3.99 cGPA MCAT: Met cutoffs (CARS 126) ECs: A couple long term volunteer commitments (6+ years), winning some science case competitions, miscellaneous things like interests in coding, statistics, variety of unpaid research positions, TA-ed for a year, no club leadership or school activity involvement Essays: Spent about a month on them, asked three friends from different fields to closely look over them a few times Year: Fou
  7. Program: MD Result: Invite (?!) Timestamp: 2:09 pm EST OMSAS GPA: 3.99 CARS: 126 IP/OOP: IP Casper: Was cut off on two questions and didn't feel as natural as last year (when I had the same stats and no invites). Practiced like crazy for it though in the summer since I was writing in August for Dal I think this goes to show how subjective the whole process can be and all we can really do is put in as much effort as we can and hope for the best. Good luck to everyone for the rest of the cycle
  8. Thank you!! My last name starts with W, but I feel like the MD/PhD invites may follow a different trend!
  9. Just going to place this here for reference but this is from this morning! Time Stamp (i.e. include date and time): 12:52PM EST Result (i.e. invite or regrets): Invite regular applicant (For MD/PhD not sure if I met regular MD OOP cut off) GPA/AGPA (i.e. whichever is applicable): Around 93/4 MCAT (i.e. total score and breakdown in the order of CP/CARS/BB/PS): 131 / 126 / 129 / 128: 514 Geography (i.e. IP or OOP): OOP ECs (i.e. brief rundown of Research Pubs/Presentations, Awards, Employment, and Non-Academic Activities - also Rural stuff if you want/if it applies): Research in
  10. OOP - Invite (1:09 EST) GPA: 4.0 MCAT: 514 Maritimes Essay: Wrote about how I went to Dal for camp in high school and it really impacted my life, but my experience was not unique to NS or the Maritimes. I talked more about I felt really welcomed by the profs and staff at Dal and how they helped me grow as a person. I thought the Casper went average, I got cut off a couple times and felt that I did about the same as last year, a cycle from which I had no interviews Feeling really grateful and wishing the best for everyone this cycle!
