Thank you! Wondering if you also know the time frame which successful applicants have to make their decision once they receive offers?

Hello! A few things I'm hoping to clarify about the UBC MPT program: 1) Is the cost for the full program around $30-32k, including student fees? 2) When successful applicants are notified around end of March/mid-April, how long do they have to make their decision? Thanks!

Hi! I'm curious how long successful applicants have to accept offers? I believe conditional offers are sent out at the end of March - mid April; for your cohort how long did you have to accept? -

Hi! This is my first time applying to PT and as I'm preparing for the interview, I'm finding mostly Med-specific prep resources. For anyone who has done an MMI for PT, what PT-specific questions should we be aware of? Thanks!

Curious if anyone else is preparing for the CASPER atm and would be open to compare answers/exchange feedback while prepping?

Does anyone know if digital transcript downloads from non-UBC schools are acceptable for transcript uploads? I'm hoping to use PHYS 12 and the website says "Applicants using high-school, AP, or IB courses to meet prerequisite requirements must submit scanned copies of official high-school, AP and IB transcripts; Print-outs or screenshots of unofficial results or transcripts will not be accepted." The Ministry of Education also provides a digital download option for official transcripts, though - has anyone had success uploading a digital download of an official transcript, or does it have to b

Thanks for your input! I was thinking of using it to talk about why I want to be a PT. Do you think that's a good approach or something I should save for the interview if I make it that far? -

Thanks! Perhaps this is a rather self-explanatory question but just confirming that all 6 clinical placements in the program are unpaid? -
Thank you for the insight! I am also wondering how much detail is required in the experience/interests section of the application form when describing the nature of our work? I noticed the character count gives us a lot of room to explain, but at the same time don't want to re-hash info provided in my supplemental.

Hi! I am wondering if would be appropriate to use a research supervisor as an academic reference for UBC PT if I haven't taken any classes with them? I'm thinking the answer is probably no, but I have a former research supervisor in an area who I'm not using as a practical referee who I think would write a stronger letter than any of my professors, and am curious to know what others' thoughts are on this.

Questions about UBC MPT

Hi! I'm wondering if experience working with patients with treatment resistant depression would count towards the 70 hour minimum requirement? It certainly can be considered an emotional handicap/disability but based on the reply to the question asked on August 27, I'm not sure if it works. I also have experience volunteering with a medical equipment loan program and was thinking of using this as well, but based on that same reply am not sure if this counts either. Any thoughts?
