  1. *international student completing fourth year in Canada, first time applicant Applied (OT and PT): mcmaster, western Accepted: Western pt Waitlisted: western ot (received offer), mcmaster ot Rejected: None (mcmaster pt withdrawn) GPA: 3.90 sGPA, 3.87 cGPA. 2nd Quartile Casper I had around 250 hours volunteering with pt at a private clinic. My statement for western pt and my professional reference felt fairly strong. I think I did pretty good for the western pt interview as well (only for international students), which could have balanced out my casper score.
  2. Ohhh then that I’m not sure. Hopefully it didn’t actually withdraw. Maybe send a message to OUAC through SAM?
  3. I think you need to hit the review and submit button before all changes are set. So if you only hit withdraw, I don’t think it saved it.
  4. I got into western pt and ot with second quartile! But I did the international student stream. I had an interview for pt which may helped me a bit. Also I think international students in general have lower Casper scores, so my Casper score didn’t bring me down a lot.
  5. I only know that international students get interviews on top of other things that everyone submits. I also know a couple international students who were interviewed and did not do well on casper. So again this is just a guess, do not take my words for it lol
  6. are you an international student? because for international student there are interviews and they are normally in March. I did one in March and received an offer shortly after. However, if you are not international thats weird, but my best guess would be ur casper is not strong enough but your gpa/reference/statement really stands out, so they want to talk to you in person to make the decision?
  7. They use the last 20 courses. So I think if you have completed 10 courses in your fourth year already, then they would use the 10 in fourth year + 2 during summer + 7 during third year, then use the average of your entire second year as the last course's grade.
  8. honestly same, I received offer from Western PT recently (early for international students). I like Western's program structure but prefer Mac's location, plus I have a place to live near mac already and have friends here.
  9. hoped so but it doesnt look like it from mac pt website 2023: 1376 Applicants, TBD2022: 1328 Applicants, 69 Admitted2021: 1269 Applicants, 67 Admitted2020: 935 Applicants, 64 Admitted2019: 946 Applicants, 70 Admitted
  10. My friend asked ORPAS about a similar situation and from what I remember (dont quote me on this), they basically said as long as the course has lecture components/written assignments, it is not an activity course. It has to be purely activity based to classify as a activity course.
  11. Thank you so much for saying this! It definitely make me feel better and a lot more confident.
  12. Thank you for saying that! I’m international student so there are limited program I can apply to. Only applied to McMaster and western for both OT and PT. I’m just hoping for western to weight Casper less, since I’m going with the international student direct stream and I think the admission process is a bit different
  13. im hoping they release the sub gpa tomorrow since thats when they released last year. Mac Kira interview invites are send out Feb 15th.
  14. oops sorry that was for PT. For OT they dont specify a cut off, they just say top 800 applicants who meet the requirement will be invited.
  15. All applicants with a 3.3/4.0 (B+ or 77% or 9/12) sub-GPA and who have met the requirements for the four pre-requisite courses, will be invited to participate in an online interview.
  16. thanks for the info! really hope I get in this year so I can relax for the rest of the term lol
  17. curious for people haven't graduated, will we get a conditional offer asking us to maintain a certain gpa? im so dead and do not want to study anymore
