  1. Fall 2019 I will be starting an Honours B.A in Psychology at UOttawa and plan on studying in medicine, completing all my science prerequisites. I know that there isn't a specific degree for medical school but every now and then I worry. Is it really a problem? Should I make the program change(if I can)? Did you or do you know anyone who has gotten into medical school with my degree? sincerely, a (slightly) worried pre-med student
  2. Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone could provide some info on Western's psych program; specifically, in terms of it's difficulty. Or, if anyone has taken psych courses at western, how did you find them? Thank you in advance, any feedback would be highly appreciated!
  3. Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone could provide some info on Western's psych program; specifically, in terms of it's difficulty. Or, if anyone has taken psych courses at western, how did you find them? Thank you in advance, any feedback would be highly appreciated!
  4. I've been debating between these two courses for the past 2 days and can't come to a conclusion. I'm looking for the easier course (as bad as it sounds) because I have a packed schedule and would appreciate a break. Should I take Classics 1000 with Steinbock (11:30 am - 12:30 pm on M,W,F) or Lamari (7 pm - 10 pm on T)? I prefer taking it in the morning but I've heard that Lamari is easier. Should I take psych 1000 with Mike instead of Classics 1000? Thanks in advance!

  7. So I got into UTM for "Behaviour, Genetics and Neurobiology" and these are the courses I have to take for the program... Students in Behaviour, Genetics and Neurobiology take Biology, Calculus, Chemistry (BIO152H, BIO153H5, MAT134Y5, CHM140Y5).What other courses in first year do I have to take for pre requisites for med school? I did some research and it said "Prerequisite courses include two full courses in life sciences and one full course in social science or humanities or language. " for UofT Faculty of Medicine. In general, to be eligible to apply to UofT, McMaster, Western, etc. What c
  8. Hello, I'm about to complete my bachelor's degree in psychology at McGill University and my GPA after 75 credits is a 3.71. I'm hoping to raise it even further this winter semester. I'm really interested in entering UdeM's pharmacy program, but I unfortunately didn't do my research before I went into psychology and I didn't realize that it was a "programme non-connexe" AND that its IFG isn't as high as other programs. I applied last year to UdeM Pharmacy when my GPA was a 3.56 and I ranked like 75 out of 111 in the "non-connexe" category. I guess I just need some guidance as to what
  9. Hi, I'm a student currently residing in Montreal. I'm about to complete my bachelor of science in psychology at McGill University and I'm interested in applying to pharmacy in Ontario (at Waterloo and UofT) for the Fall of 2017. My current CGPA is a 3.71 which I'm hoping to increase by the time I've graduated. 1. However, I am still missing some pre-requisite courses for my application, namely: Genetics, Organic 2, Microbiology, Biochem for Waterloo and Organic 2, Physical Chemistry and Biochem for U of T (these courses are not required for pharmacy applications in Quebec). I will most
  10. Hey, I'm a 2nd year UG who has been accepted to volunteer in a research lab close to me. It focuses on communication and hearing, so it's a bit of neuro but mostly psych. I really am interested in any kind of research. The PI and PDFs seem really nice and I like the environment but I was wondering about the med school application aspect of this. Should I apply to more "medically related" research labs or stick with this one? Would research in psych (but kinda neuro) even be a plus on my app? also disclaimer - I'm not just doing research for my application. I genuinely am interested i
  11. Hi there! I was wondering what people I should be familiar with for the MCAT (ex: famous psychologists, theories)? Thank you!
