  1. I am a current UBC medical student who was accepted to every medical school I applied to my first application cycle: UBC (OOP applicant), U of T, McMaster, Western and Queens. I would love to pass on my knowledge to eager applicants, whether you have interviews coming up this year or if you just want to get a head start. I am familiar with panel, MMI, and mixed format interviews. I am asking $60/hr for any interview content of your choosing (mock interviews, practice questions, general tips, etc). I am only looking to work with a small group of applicants as I am a busy student myself. Please PM me if interested
  2. Hello! I'm currently an M2 offering interview prep and feedback for both Panel and MPI style interviews. Please reach out to me on this forum or PM me if you're interested. Sessions will be run over Zoom and will consist of several interview questions with detailed feedback and tips for success. I offered the same service to many successful applicants last cycle and would like to help out as many of the awesome premeds in the forum as I can!
  3. Hi everyone! Totally understand that there are MANY interview prep resources, and many of them are free out there. However if anyone is looking for additional MMI or Panel interview prep, OG Admissions Consultants is offering 1 on 1 in-person interview prep with evaluation and feedback by current Mac or U of T med students in the Hamilton-Burlington-Oakville/Downtown Toronto Area. We are familiar with the process at multiple schools including Mac, UOttawa, U of T, McGill and Queens. We have LOTS of relevant material and insights!! If interested shoot us a message on fb at https://www.facebook.com/ogadmissions/ or send us an email at ogadmissionsconsultants@gmail.com Thanks so much!! The OG Team
  4. Hi everyone! I've been looking into the difference between applying to the French vs. English stream at Ottawa med. I understand that the French stream is less competitive so I was thinking of applying for that stream. French is not my first language but I can express myself well enough to make it through I believe. Has anyone who has studied English applied for the French stream and gotten an interview? How did things go and how strict are they with assessing your proficiency in writing/speaking? I would really appreciate any advice/help! Also, how important are extracurriculars with OttawaMed?

  6. Hello everyone, I have received an invite for an interview in Ottawa. the problem is, my GPA is not very competitive, and to my knowledge, the selection criteria are based on an average of your GPA and interview performance 50/50. so due to my low gpa, i would have to perform perfectly in my interview to make sure I'm accepted this year (and it's highly important that I get in this year). so I need to have the most information possible (and corrections if my information above is wrong) regarding the selection process. and tips from applicants who made it or have been through the process. another thing i would really want to do is have information about private companies that provide panel interview training in French for Ottawa. so if anyone has any information please let me know. thank you so much
  7. Hi All! I am a current Medical Student at the University of Toronto's medical school. I received 3 Canadian and 2 US MD acceptances in 2017. I would like to promote the interview prep company that helped me get over the hump: Medvisors. I was a very poor interviewer and was very nervous about the process but their practice and personalized packages made a huge difference for me. I am now a consultant for them and I help other students with interview preparation. Their most unique and popular (and cost effective) service is the VIRTUAL MMI CIRCUIT that they offer... you have 6 stations with 6 different graders and they give you a personalized feedback form at the end too. As far as I know, no one else offers that kind of seamless online setup where you switch rooms etc. Free prep is also great but sometimes the interviewees are more focused on their own prep rather than giving quality feedback. Also, Medvisors consultants are experts and have interviewed at your school of choice! Visit medvisors.org for more!
