  2. Hello! Congratulations to everyone who was accepted! I hope that you have a great first year. The waitlist is a great achievement and so is getting an interview. This year has been pretty crazy and with no interviews And has been very stressful. I thought I’d start this forum to see how everyone is doing and if there is movement on the waitlist. I am OOP waitlisted in the bottom third!
  3. Hi everyone, seeing as admissions has informed me that letters will be sent out “tomorrow at the latest,” I figured it’s that time of year again: status: cGPA: DAT: Self-perceived interview thoughts: regardless of the outcome guys, we came a long way and that’s something admirable!
  4. Hello all. I applied to Bloomberg Nursing in December, and I am just curious to see when they will start releasing admissions. If you have heard anything, please let us know. If you don't mind, please include your statisitcs for others to see, and whether you were accepted, rejected, or waitlisted. Thanks!
  5. Hello everyone, Please allow me to introduce myself. I am an Alberta university student of African descent, and I am obviously as seen with my post interested in applying to pharmacy. I am currently completing my third year of studies in Biological Sciences and I am just wondering out of curiosity what the racial demographics of the U of A pharmacy school are? For instance, have the incoming classes been predominantly white, are there black students, are there Asian students, etc.? Also, I am wondering if there is a relatively even split of male-female students? I don't w
  6. Hey guys, Just thought it's about time to have this thread set -up here for future references. Results are coming out tomorrow as per my phone call with the admissions office Accepted/rejected/waitlisted: cGPA: sGPA EC: Interview (personal opinion): IP/OOP: Year-of-study:
  7. I’m worried that I won’t get into university, I want to got to Queen’s science program and to get in the average is 82+ and right now with my first semester marks my average is an 86, I had to redo advanced functions and I had a 57 in that course and ended up with a 90 after, I got an 87 in bio, and 80 in English. Second semester I have calculus, chemistry, kinesiology. I’m hoping to get 80-83 in calc 93 in chem and 96-97 in kinesiology. Has anyone gotten into Queen’s science program yet? And if so what was your average? Can I get in? I’m really worried that I won’t!! Thank you!
  8. Hey guys and gals. As a pre-med from the east. Just wondering how many UBC med students are from ontario and not BC? I hear they have a really strong in province advantage and only let about 10% of students outside in. Love some insight on where you are all from! (I also gather you need higher marks to be accepted if you're a "foreigner" from outside BC?) Love the school but not sure how my chances are! Cheers, Richard
  9. Hi, I realize I'm being very paranoid right now but I just wanted to make sure that all I had to do before the May 25th deadline is fill out the acceptance form and pay the deposit, right? Also, should I have recieved an email once I finished these two tasks (my application has been updated, but my friend who got into another schools says they sent him an email when he finished his paperwork)? Just need someone to tell me that I did everything I'm supposed to, haha.
  10. Does anyone know when we should expect to hear back from Queens PT for whether or not we got accepted?
  11. Does anyone know if there is a good/bad wait list for the French stream? If so, how much do those wait lists usually move up?
  12. Hello fellow DAL OT 2018 Prospective Students! Wanted to start a forum to hear about others who are waiting to hear back from DAL OT from the 2018 application process. I did not receive an email of confirming my application was received (dropped off in person), however my DAL online says status incomplete. I'm guessing this is because I am in the process of completing my Anatomy and Physiology prerequisites. Wondering if anyone else is in the same boat or what your status is? Best of luck! Halifax, NS
  13. I was recently accepted into the DMD program at U of Sydney and I'm wondering if I can find anyone else who was accepted. Yet to receive the letter in the mail but looking to connect with others/join a Facebook group. Looking forward to starting in January 2018.
  14. Hey all, Just was wondering if any of you guys have gotten an email from U of T or Queens OT with login info and instructions pertaining to how one creates an account. I know Western and McMaster have sent them already. Cheers
  15. Hi guys, I fortunately secured an DO offer but I am contemplating on whether to accept it or not due to financial and family concerns. According to sdn, rejecting a DO acceptance will significantly diminish one's chance for US MD but I'm wondering if the same holds true for Canadian MD school. Also, if I accept this offer but later reject due to financial problems, would this leave a record on my file? I am in serious dilemma so any advice is appreciated! Thanks in advance!
  16. Hello! Admissions Questionnaire: What are the questions? Is it like an essay? Any help would be appreciated Thanks
  17. This forum is for anyone who has applied to the University of Melbourne, Australia DDS program for the 2017 intake!
  18. Hey everyone, just wondering if anyone has called UWO and inquired as to when they will release their results? I don't want to annoy them with calls if other people have already called them
  19. Hi there, I have a question about accepting more than one school to prolong the time to make a final decision. I'm an Albertan and was accepted to both UBC and U of C. Last week, I made a really difficult decision and chose to attend UBC, mainly based on the four year program and opportunity to live in Vancouver. I paid my $1000.00 deposit to UBC on Thursday. However, on Friday, after I paid my deposit, I got an email from U of C offering me a scholarship which would make a huge difference to the financial burden of med school. I haven't yet declined U of C and am feeling pressured to make
  20. Hi, I would like to start off by introducing myself - I am a Canadian high school student from Calgary, Alberta, and I would like to study medicine in Ireland or in the UK. (I know the deadline for UK med schools was around 2 months ago but I would still like to know if I had a shot) I have pretty good grades (except my English): English: 85 Math: 95 Chemistry: 93 Biology: 92 Physics: 96 Spanish: (I'm sure they don't care about this mark, but just for the sake of it) 98 Law: (again, just for the sake of it) 92 Also, I have good extra-curriculars as well: Approximately 240 hour
  21. Hello, I will be applying to Western this year in my 4th year. I'm entering 4th year this year having written the MCAT in the summer (above the cutoffs). In my 3rd year I had a 3.85 GPA but in my first two years my GPA was below the cutoff (below 3.7). My question is, how will i let the university know that I would want my 3rd year and 4th year marks to be used in the case of my conditional acceptance? Is there some special way I must put in my marks online, or do I email the university and let them know that I have one year that meets the cutoffs and do not want them to consider m
