Bonjour, Je débute actuellement ma troisième session au cégep et considérant la non pondération de la cote r la session précédente, je doute pouvoir atteindre la cote r nécessaire pour rentrer en médecine ou en pharmacie. Présentement j’ai une cote r de 32,75 et c’est largement pas assez pour médecine, donc je me demandais s’il y avait d’autre moyen suite au cegep de rentrer en pharmacie ( je préfère pharmacie à médecine) malgré ma cote r. J’ai entendu des gens parler de prendre une session de kinesiology afin d’augmenter leurs notes et ensuite de rentrer en medecine/pharmacie, mais je ne suis pas sûr de ces informations. Je vais faire de mon mieux afin d’augmenter ma cote r cette session, mais au cas où je n’y arrive pas j’aimerais savoir s’il existe d’autre moyen afin de rentrer en pharmacie, car c’est mon rêve. Si vous n’avez aucune idée, est-ce que vous avez la gentillesse de me proposer d’autres programmes universitaires qui ont de grande opportunité d’emploi et de rémunération. Hey guys - just realized I may have screwed my chances at medical school. I applied to queens and western. My third and fourth years are the 3.88 and 3.87 respectively. I did a fifth year in 2020 and took three courses, which was my biggest, dumbest mistake because I ended up with a calculated 3.5 gpa here. I am terrified Queens will take this year and my fourth year as my last two, leaving me at a 3.68 gpa. Have I screwed myself over?

Je vous souhaite la meilleure des chances **Pour les étudiants venant du futur, les admissions de 2020 n'ont pas eu de MEM en raison de la pandémie. Le Casper vaut donc pour 50% en plus de la CRC/CRU qui vaut aussi pour 50%.

Hi all, Christopher here from the Pluripotent Premed podcast, and creator of www.UltimatePremedPackage.ca. After overwhelmingly positive feedback on 'Season 1' of the podcast that I co-host with a medical school classmate of mine, Ziad, we are back in the (virtual) studio and recording new weekly episodes for Season 2! If you haven't heard of Pluripotent Premed yet, feel free to check us out on any major podcasting platform (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) or on our Facebook page. We are two medical students in Canada who host a completely free podcast that is designed to guide premed students through the premedical years.In Season 1, we focused on all aspects of the MCAT, med school interview, admissions process, CASPer, and much more. This season we have a couple of new series that will help guide you on your premed journey: 2020-2021 Admissions Cycle series - last year Ziad and I recorded a single episode that broke down each Canadian medical school and the requirements for admission, interlaced with stats from previous classes that provided insight into whether you are a 'competitive' applicant. This year we've decided to do it a little differently - we've invited a medical student from each of the 17 Canadian medical schools to come on a do a condensed 10-15 minute episode about their specific medical school. We will discuss with them the academic and non-academic admission requirements, the school's curriculum, and their personal experience as a student at the school. We hope that this format will provide a greater and more personal insight into each of the schools, and will allow listeners to seek out the specific episodes that highlight the schools that they are interested in. Alternative Background series - the purpose of this series is to bring on medical student guests who don't come from the typical premed background, in order to discuss their route to medicine. We had numerous listeners request a series like this, and we believe it will be helpful and provide hope for those listeners who don't fit that 'cookie cutter' premed applicant. So far we have episodes with a medical student who did an undergraduate degree in music with no science background, a student who did a dual business and science degree and how they balanced it, and a student who is pursuing an MD/PhD and what the admissions process looks like for that applicant stream. What are my chances? Where should I apply?

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some advice. I am entering my fourth year at McMaster earning my B.Sc. Here are my stats converted using OMSAS: 1st year: 3.388 (sem1: 3.3 + sem2 3.5 (only took 4 courses)). 2nd year: 3.73 (sem1 3.62 + sem2 3.84) 3rd year: 3.78 (sem1 3.6 + sem 2 3.96) I know some schools aren't taking winter 2020 anymore:( Had I not taken organic chemistry in the Fall 2019 term (my third year, first semester), which I should not have because it was an elective my GPA fall 2019 would have been a 3.925 Bringing my third year grades to a 3.942. I wish I could remove this grade it would change a lot. 4th year: aiming for 4.0 (only taking electives this year) I know these grades are terrible, especially first year I had a very difficult time mentally. In the semesters that followed I've gotten nearly all As but have always had 1 class a year bring me down significantly. I am hoping to do really well in my fourth year but even then I feel like its not enough. I am taking the MCAT August 15th for the first time. Here are my ECs: Red cross swim instructor, Inclusion Instructor (children with special needs), will be intro psych TA in Fall 2020, 1 year research with department chair and will be continuing next year, volunteer tutoring services, copy editor for undergraduate journal, macchangers team (find solutions for Hamilton community during Covid-19), international buddy (aid international students), volunteer hospital (clinical) around 60 hours, volunteer hospital (administrative/research assistant) around 30 hours, volunteer in cardiology clinic around 200 hours, in hs: dance team, leadership, chaplaincy, volunteer at elementary school 50 hours, volunteer at rec centre 20 hours... I am willing to go to any school in Canada or US MD that would accept me. Do I have any chance with my GPA anywhere? If I do what is the minimum MCAT score you think I need? I appreciate your honesty, opinions and advice. Thank you -
Bonjour tout le monde ! J'ai remarqué qu'il y a plus de thread sur la liste d'attente en physio à Sherbrooke et Udem. Mais aucun à ULaval. J'ai crée ce thread pour échanger des réponses et aussi pour calmer les incertitudes de certaines personnes et pour les futurs étudiants à venir. Voici les statistiques du nombre de candidats admis dernièrement depuis la liste d'attente des années précédentes à Ulaval en 2016 et 2015. Collégiens: 2016 - 46e 2015 - 61e Universitaires: 2016 - 28e 2015 - 24e Pour 2019, j'ai fait l'expérience d'avoir passé depuis 189 à 96 mais je ne suis pas vraiment certain qu'il y a 93 offres d'admissions (il y a surement plus de désistement à l'intérieur de ce chiffre). Si l'un d'entre vous connait la moindre information sur les chances d’être admis (qu'il soit collégial ou universitaire). Svp, écrivez en dessous !

Pour ceux qui sont du collégial et on appliqué en physio à l'UdeM, est-ce que vous avez reçu vos réponses ? Moi j'ai toujours rien reçu et mon dossier est encore à l'étude. Est-ce normal ?

Bonjour, Je me demandais quel est le meilleur moyen afin d'augmenter ces notes pour rentrer en pharmacie pour les candidats universitaires ? Il y le programme de Science Bio pharmaceutique offert à Udem qui permet aussi d'avoir certains cours crédités pour Pharmacie mais il y a aussi le bac en Pharmacologie offert à l'université Sherbrooke qui semble intéressant… Quels sont vos avis ?
