Hi all, procrastinating studying for exams and thought I'd go fishing in forums for some content. I've searched through the acceptance forums and it seems my stats are on the very low end of people I have seen get invitations. Wanted to throw this out there to see if anybody has any anecdotal experience of people with my makeup getting an interview. cGPA: 3.64 CARS: 129 CASPER: 3rd quartile Apologies for adding to the deluge of these type of posts but I wanted to hear some feedback from the good people of premed 101.

Hey guys - just realized I may have screwed my chances at medical school. I applied to queens and western. My third and fourth years are the 3.88 and 3.87 respectively. I did a fifth year in 2020 and took three courses, which was my biggest, dumbest mistake because I ended up with a calculated 3.5 gpa here. I am terrified Queens will take this year and my fourth year as my last two, leaving me at a 3.68 gpa. Have I screwed myself over?

Medhopefulatubc posted a topic in University of British Columbia Medical School
So I wanted to play a little game with you guys. So I am going to give you a scenario of an applicant applying to UBC, and you are going to tell me their chances of being invited for interview/accepted. So this particular applicant is 19 years old and has just finished 2nd year and has decided to apply to UBC med school right after 2nd year and during 3rd year. Credits: 66, will complete the other 24 credits in 3rd year (aka application year) GPA: 94%(end of 2nd year) Mcat: 130/131/130/130 NAQ: Volunteer at homeless shelter for 3 years: +1100 hours Volunteer at seniors care home for 3 year: +1200 hours Working as a pharmacy technician for 3.5 years Also worked as a tutor for a year Has held a research lab position once for 1 year No publications What are the chances of this applicant at being selected for an interview, since that's the first step!!!
