UofT Clerkship without a Car
FingersCrossedPls posted a topic in Medical Student General Discussions
Hi there, Just looking to get some advice on how to survive UofT clerkship without a car. We make our selections for sites within the next week, and some of the sites are nearly 2 hours away 1 way by TTC. I physically cannot fathom a world where I will be able to do 4 hours of TTC commuting each day on top of of the clerkship work and course requirements. Do people suggest getting a car in clerkship? Or is it wiser to move around eveyr 6-8 weeks to be closer to your site? Of course not all are distant, but there are a good few chunks that will be. Just looking for some tips/personal experience. Thanks! -

Wondering if anyone has done or heard anything about ICU electives at St.Paul's? I'm looking to do it in my 4th year elective and just wondering what people thought about the rotation

I'm wondering if anyone had any advice to give or information on potentially transferring between Canadian medical schools for clerkship. To my understanding, some schools accept full transfers into their program starting in 3rd year (for 4 year programs) and others, while not allowing full transfers, will allow students to do core clinical rotations at their centre during their clerkship (so they still get their degree from their initial institution). I ask because I'm getting married this coming summer and I would like to be closer to my spouse who is fixed in Montreal. Ideally I'd like to be within a few hours drive of Montreal, but just about any Ontario school will work. Thanks!
