  2. Good day, I hope everyone is doing well. So I have asked about this in another Forum (under the similar username of this Premed101 account) and did get some positive replies from medical students and current undergraduate students. But I'm still facing the dilemma, so someone told me to post here in Premed101 to get more responses in order to make my decision. 4. Hi everyone, Before I start, I would just like to say that I’m posting this question on behalf of my best friend. I told him to join this forum and ask it himself but he was too scared and embarrassed to do it so I’m doing it on his behalf and for his own sake. BEWARE: THIS IS A LONG POST! Sorry in advance, I feel the need to be specific with the details. So, my best friend recently told me that he would like to pursue medicine as a profession and I couldn’t be happier and proud of him. As a current premed myself, it’s nice to have someone to have along on this journey to medicine. He
  5. Hello all, I'm posting because I have started to have serious problems with anxiety and depression since mid second semester of first year. I'm in 2nd year now but am debating taking a year off to regroup. My heart sincerely goes out to anyone who has had to deal with this since it is by far the most difficult and painful thing I've dealt with in my life. Like many of you, medicine has been my dream for quite some time now and I was on top of the world at the beginning of first year after working my butt off to get in. However, to me, it is definitely not worth the pain I am suffering fr
