  1. Good day, I hope everyone is doing well. So I have asked about this in another Forum (under the similar username of this Premed101 account) and did get some positive replies from medical students and current undergraduate students. But I'm still facing the dilemma, so someone told me to post here in Premed101 to get more responses in order to make my decision. Please if you can take some time out and help me decide I'll be very grateful. I'm a 25y/o from Ontario, I dropped out of high school in my late teens due to personal problems and depression, then at the age of 21 I decided to go ba

  3. EDIT: Ottawa cannot tell a course was online unless its indicated on your transcript. As of 2020/2021 they don't care about the number of online courses anymore.
  4. Hi! I'm wondering if anybody has gotten accepted with having just taken 4 courses a semester through their undergrad? Wondering if I need to do some semesters or years with 5 courses a semester to "prove" that I can or if that isn't necessary?
  5. Hi everyone, I'm currently faced with a problem, and I'm unsure of what to do. Basically, I received my first B which is bringing down my GPA for the year to a 3.84; this is with a full course load. However, I do have the opportunity to successfully petition to have this grade removed off of my transcript as I do have a valid reason. With the removal of this grade, my GPA would be a 3.93 for this year. However, removing this grade would result in me having 9 courses for the year (not a full course load). So, my question is would it be better to have a full course load and stick with t
  6. Hi guys, Recently I became aware that though it is not a "must" for students applying to UBC med, UBC really likes to see students who take full course loads. My problem? I'm currently in 2nd year and have yet to take 30 credits a year. These two years have been incredibly tough on me, and I was wondering if I were to take full coarse loads in third or fourth year, would this increase my chances of being accepted? Or do they not care at all/want students who take full course loads throughout their undergraduate degree. Help would really be appreciated, since I'm just so confused now.
