  1. 8 Years ago I went to university full time for a year, got pretty bad grades (including 1 failed class). Now I just finished my second year of undergrad a second time with a perfect 4.0 so far. Out of the Med Schools around me (Western, McMaster, uoft) how would they all look at this. Would they even require / know about this year? I know Western takes your best 2 years which would give me a shot, but how about the other two schools? Would they take those courses into the equation? Unfortunately even if I continue a perfect 4.0 throughout all 4 years I will be stuck with a 3.5 -
  2. Hello everyone, I hope your application writing went well! Quick question about UofT GPA calculations. I know they're not counting W2020 grades, but do F2019 grades count for the entire year? F2019 was my worst semester of undergrad because I had a really heavy course load and took on too many ECs. For example, say my year 1 GPA was 3.98, year 2 3.99, and then fall 2019 GPA was 3.78 (not my actual stats, just an example). Do they calculate GPA as (3.98 + 3.99 + 3.78)/3 which would mean F2019 is equivalent to a full year, or is it based on each semester? Thanks in advance
  3. I was wondering if anybody has already contacted potential med schools in Canada and has asked about non-degree courses? I have finished my undergraduate degree and considering taking a year to take some non-degree courses to boost my gpa. However it seems that medical schools either don’t mention this topic on their website or are a bit unclear in terms of their wording (ex. McMaster). I would really appreciate any help/clarification on this topic!!!
  4. Assuming I am applicable for the agpa calculation, does the AGPA calculation mean the lowest 30 credits on your transcript are dropped or only the lowest credits in one particular year? Are summer courses counted in AGPA calculations?
  5. Hi Guys! I had a couple of questions since I haven't gotten any response to my emails. 1) Are there any pharmacy schools in Canada that don't look at all 4 years of your undergrad? Such as best two-three years? 2) I know UofT does not mind summer school for courses as long it's not the summer before you apply. Does anyone know if Waterloo has this same policy, or do they not count summer school at all? Thanks!
  6. Hello everyone. So I had an extremely rough first 2 years of university. and I did my bachelors of bio sience in 5 years. First year, first semester i had four Ws and a C+, SO i was considered as part time, second semester 3 Fs, second year mostly Fs again. So my second year GPA was 0.45. I had a turnaround however. 3rd year, 4th year and 5th year with a gap of 4, MCAT score of 37. 3 years hospital work, more than 2000 hours of volunteer work, great letter of references. Now I know some universities calculate all full year studies' gap, however I've heard some consider last 3rd year, like otta
