Hi, I am currently a grade 12 student in high school. I have a very strong work ethic and currently have an average in the 90s. I am not too concerned with the major, as long as I am able to maintain a high GPA and have all the requirements necessary to go to medical school post-undergrad. If anyone goes to Guelph or Queens University and has a close to 4.0 GPA, or is currently in medical school and did your undergrad at either, would you recommend it there? If so: 1) What program were you in? 2) How were the professors there? Were any of them unfair? 3) Did you l

I have gotten offers from both programs but I am having trouble choosing one. Both campuses are absolutely gorgeous and they are both similar science courses. So, the only deciding factor left is the ease of getting a high GPA. So, if anyone knows in which program it would be easier for me to achieve a higher GPA, please let me know. Thanks.

I know that there is Western Medical Science which sends a lot of students to med other than health science, are there any other programs like these? I want to know this because I am in grade 12 and want to be a doctor. I want to take a bachelor's program which is science oriented while also giving me the best shot possible for med school. Most of time what I hear is that if you don't get into the two courses I mentioned your best choice will be to go to an easy university so you can still get a high GPA (rather than a life science program which are generally tough), like you would in health s

My top choice is UofT Epi ut its sorta more important for me to get into school next Sept than it is to land my dream school- but then Im also worried about selling myself too short. Is Guelph MSc epi worth it? Any current grads in Epi from there or Western/Queens/UofT able to throw in a dime? Thanks!

I am going to do my undergrad in Canada and I was wondering if anyone knows if US schools would take into account the 'rank' of the school. Like if I went to Toronto, which is well known, would vet schools there treat me any differently than if I went to say Guelph? I already know that I would have different requirements than in state applicants like a higher GPA, so I am stressed that if I do my undergrad in Toronto and get a lower GPA than I would in Guelph it'll decrease my chances of getting into a Vet School. Also, just in case anyone wonders why I want to go to the US for Vet School- I'

Hello, I am finishing my first semester of university in a kinesiology program. I like it, it's okay, but I don't love it like some of my peers are loving their programs and schools. This bothers me because it is so expensive, a lot of effort, time and stress. I know I want to stay in a program like kin, but I have also had nursing bothering me in the back of my mind since applying to schools in grade 12. Some of the things I really like here are: the campus and surrounding areas, the vegetarian-friendly community, my volunteer placement and the content of most of my courses. However, comp

Hello, I am a high school student looking to get into a good pre-med program - one that will put me in the environment to exert myself and produce a high gpa. In other words, which program is better for med school hopefuls? I didn't so too well first semester, having no motivation to study at all and ended up getting very low 80s. I started actually studying in the second semester and all of my courses are in the mid to high 90s. However due to my first semester marks I couldn't really get into programs like Mac health science or Western med sci. Instead, I got into *Mac life sci* and *Gu

Hi guys, I'm looking to take an online physiology course this summer. Has anyone taken: BIOL 2000 at Guelph with Nicole Campbell or PHYSIOL 2130 at Western with Dr. Bell? Any feedback on the course/professor/marking would be appreciated.. Thank you

Hi, Thanks for spending your time to read my post. I am a Canadian high school student hoping to start university in 2016 September. I'm going to apply for admission in universities starting this October 2015. I'm still completing my high school courses and I'm sure I complete my high school with an average of 90-94%. I want to become a doctor in the future and I am interested in the sciences. I just can't figure out which university to choose for my undergraduate that will be best for applying into medical school in Canada later on. I live in Ontario so I prefer staying in Ontario for my
