Hi everyone! I was hoping you guys could help me out. I was successful in securing a seat at a dental school in Australia and am now in the process of trying to obtain a student line of credit to pay for my studies, but I don’t have a co-signer (my credit is excellent though). Can anyone point me in the right direction? Is it possible to secure a LOC without a co-signer? Many of the major banks seem to offer great options, but they seem to be reserved for students studying dentistry in Canada and/or require a co-signer. That being said, seeing that there is a reciprocal agreem

Hello, everyone. While the LOC pinned post is extremely resourceful, it is getting difficult to sift through the years of information as well as the different deals offered by different banks. Just as we do with acceptances/rejections, I thought it may be helpful to have a thread to post what LOC deal you were able to achieve. I am interested to see what the general trend is so that we know what to ask for when we sign our own LOC's. Feel free to include additional information beyond what is specified below. What year was it signed?: Bank Name: Interest Rate:

Can you guys let me know which banks were easiest to get a loan from? I'm hoping to get into a Canadian school but if not I'll be going to the US. I have several interviews lined up in the coming weeks. Worried about finances since my family is middle class. Thanks.

Hi just wondering if some of those with LoCs wouldn't mind mentioning the perks you received with your line of credit (ie: credit cards, waived fees, waived fees into residency, automatic interest payments etc...). Also, if anyone knows the difference between the credit cards you can get, a lot of us would be appreciative of a feature comparison.

Hi there, I am a Medical Student writing on behalf of my sister who completed a B.Sc. in Biopharmaceutical Sciences at U of Ottawa and is applying to Pharmacy schools. It is very very competitive in Canada, and other than an interview at UofT, she is not having any luck getting in. She got accepted to MCPHS or Mass Pharm in Boston and it has a good reputation. The problem however is tuition. The cost of Tuition is 75-80 000 per year. The second problem is that they are asking her to do a 5 year program. They have a 6 year program for students straight from high school, and you can do

Hi Guys, I am looking into getting a LOC. I am looking for a health professional account manager in Toronto area and was wondering if you could provide me with the contact info or the name of the account manager that you worked with if they were helpful and knowledgeable. I am gathering info right now so it doesn't matter which bank your rep was from. I know that each bank provides a list on their website but I thought maybe I can take advantage of some previous experience so that I find someone who knows his/her stuff.
