Hi, This is my first time being on these forums, but i'd like to express my concerns regarding my future career path and what options i have left. I'm currently a student at York university entering my third year of university with a pretty terrible GPA (6.5 including summer courses), largely due to the C+s I've received in my first year of University. I've been progressively doing better but the improvement is honestly not amazing. Becoming a doctor was probably my biggest goal I've had , but at the moment I know that its basically impossible regardless of how well I do in my last two years of university; even if I manage a 9.0 GPA (4.0 on a 4.0 scale) in the last 60 credits of my biomedical science program I would only finish with a cumulative GPA of 7.75. which is basically a B+. I doubt that I could even get an A+ in all my courses to be fair, but it is what it is. My options for med are: Queens and Western (Schulich) since they look at your 2 best years in comparison to your full 4 years. But i highly doubt that I can get accepted to either because my cGPA is weak, regardless of how well i do in my last 2 years. I'm just looking for advice on what to do with what I have and the best possible route of action I could take wit the time I have left. I'll be glad to answer any questions that anyone has for me. Thanks!
