I thought it would be nice to continue the tradition of having this thread for applicants! Copy and pasted from the previous years thread. Here's how it goes (use this format): Applied + (PT or OT?): Accepted: Waitlisted: Rejected: GPA: (cum and sub if you applied to any University using them both) Perceived strength of essays/interviews/references: Good luck everyone!

Hi All, I am planning to go on exchange if possible for the fall 2019 semester. I have considered universities in Australia, Singapore, UK, and USA (through NSE). However, I am also planning on applying to physiotherapy programs during that cycle. Does anyone have any experience with the process of getting transcripts and inputting grades to ORPAS and the schools themselves? I am just worried that the transcripts won't come in on time. Thanks!!!

Hey everyone, I was just wondering if anyone's encountered a similar problem to mine: I am having an issue with the prerequisite links on my ORPAS application. When I review my application and copy and paste the links into my browser they don't work. However, when I am editing the application, and copy the link in the editable page I am able to open the course description. Do you think my best bet would be to upload pdf copies of the descriptions onto the SAM tool?

Calculating sGPA terms?
rjfried posted a topic in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Discussions
Good Evening Everyone!! Happy Holidays! I am just wondering how ORPAS calculates your sGPA depending on terms (spring, winter, fall... the full year..?). I was calculating my sGPA wrong for Occupational Therapy applications. I am not applying next year but will be applying for 2019 entry. I am confused about which grades they will take. I plan on taking alot of courses through Athabasca as my grade in BIOL 235 was NOT good (67%/ 2.3) as i was taking care of some family health issues and it happened to fall almost directly in the middle of my 20 credits. I have looked through the for-

Hey everyone, So one of my referees submitted her reference letter and when she uploaded it, she got a prompt saying it's already been saved. She clicked Submit for the second time and it went to a new screen, hoping that it went through. When I checked my application, this referee's name was not on the list anymore... Did this happen to anyone as well?

Hello everyone! Although applications have long been completed, I hope some of you are still active on this board I was just wondering if anyone here went on a study exchange (preferably in the UK) and would be able to share their experiences with the grade conversions either with ORPAS or with other universities outside on Ontario? The UK grade scale is very different from Canada, it's proving to be a bit of a headache! Thanks in advance!

Hi guys! Presently working on answering the two questions previewed on ORPAS's site; as part of the application to a number of OT schools in Ontario. Both questions have a 5000 charter limit. One of these questions reads, "Demonstrate your understanding of the profession of OT by identifying 2 current or emerging trends in Canada's healthcare system and discussing how occupational therapists are well positioned to play a leadership role on healthcare teams." -Are people using academic references? -How long are most people's response? -Thoughts about level of detail? -Additional

Hi guys, Im wondering after the process of submitting our referees on the ORPAS online application. I know most if not all of the Ontario PT schools are only looking for two referees/references but I have a dilemma. I currently have three referees: #1) academic #2) professional #3)practical (someone from a health care setting such as a physiotherapist, or someone who supervised your work with people who have special needs) I am applying for Queens MScPT, which requires one academic and one 'practical' reference ( so want to use reference #1and #3). But then im also applying for
