2 quick questions about selecting referees: 1) One of my referees has changed jobs in the last year, so their title/position/institution is different from what it was when I worked with them. Do I put down the job they had when I knew them (as that is relevant to what they are writing about me) or the position they are in now? 2) Do I have to submit my entire application before my references are emailed? I want to give them enough time for that October 1st deadline but the rest of my essays etc. aren't completed yet. Thanks!
For OMSAS and AMCASS, how does the uploading process for letters of recommendation work? Do references upload one letter for all of the schools to see, or do they upload a separate letter for each school? I ask because this year I am planing to apply to a large number of med schools (almost 20) through both OMSAS and AMCAS and will soon be asking for letters of recommendation. I would think that it's more convenient for both referees and for OMSAS (or the admission committees) to have the applicant send the letters in a bundle, instead of sparsely.
Hey guys, So I downloaded my referee forms only to realize that one of them has a mistake on it. For one of my referees I have her the title "Prof" instead of her actual title of "Dr." She is a PhD and is an associate professor at U of T but is apparently not a "Prof." I spoke to OMSAS and they said that I can either redo the whole application (which would take me hours of work) or my referee can change the mistake by writing over it. My question is, what should I do? I'm worried that if the form is submitted with a correction on the title it may look bad on my part as I did not c
