  1. Alright, I am a second year pre-med student and I have received a 52% in Organic Chemistry which is by far the most devasting mark I have ever received. I am currently looking to enter the UofS med school. With this mark, my GPA is 76.4% and without it, it's 78.1%. I do need this course for the MCAT as well as specific courses I will be taking in my third year. Is it worth retaking the course or should I just power through it by doing better in the following courses? Am I doomed no matter what? Thank you for listening.
  2. Hi to anyone who sees this. So I am going to do my best not to whine or complain because I know many people have had it far worse than me, but I don't know what to do and don't know how to handle this situation. So this is my second time taking the MCAT. The first time I took it, I voided it. I was foolish to think that I could manage a full time job, a prep course and study at the same time. Other may have done it, but I did not and could not. This time around, I did not go back to work and devoted the summer to just studying and taking a prep course. There have been some family issues going
  3. Hello everyone, I recently received my mcat score (took on September 23) and was wondering whether I should retake or not, here is the breakdown: C/P: 130 CARS: 124 B/B: 130 P/S: 126 Overall 510 (83%) I am just very concerned about CARS. I previously scored a 29 on the old exam. I applied so far to Queens, NOSM, and Manitoba Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  4. Hello, everyone. So I've just finished my second year of my undergrad. I want to retake three courses in the summer because my school's retake policy is that they replace your first grade with whatever grade you received after the retake (even if it's worse). Now I'm aware that most med schools don't look at summer courses, especially for GPA considerations. I want to retake these courses for my GPA for graduation—I want to graduate with a 90% average, and this is pretty much impossible unless I get rid of some of my lowest grades. So what I'm saying is, I want to retake these three co
  5. Hello Everyone, I just received my mcat results and I am utterly disappointed I got a measly score of 24: PS 7 VR 7 BS 10... I know that I would definitely have to re-write the mcat but I am having a hard time deciding whether I should book my exam in January so I could still write the old one, or whether I should just spend next summer full-on studying and write the new one. If I write in January I wouldn't have much time to study considering I will be a full-time student with many demanding classes and of course EC's.....What should I do?!? The schools I am interested in applying
