Hello all, I'm probably asking this question quite late but here goes because my exam is in two weeks. But here goes: I am an IMG 4th year in Ireland and am scheduled to write the QE1 in two weeks. I've been doing UWorld2CK questions since a lot of the blog's ive read have advised against canadaqbank. I did an MCC Practice Exam and saw that the questions are much much different than UWorld2CK. So since I have two weeks, I want to optimize my time and have a lot of content to cover. Could you please advise / share your thoughts on whether I should just practice

Hello, I am applying to university soon and I would like to stay in Toronto as much as possible. For all my life, I have always been considering the traditional route of taking Life sciences to go to Med school, but my options have opened ever since I started to play the harp. I am graduating from the IB program and I want to avoid workload stress however, I do understand that taking music as a major will require a lot of my time, I heard, double the amount as normal undergrads do. Despite that, I also play music as a form of de-stressing and I go to it when I don't want to study. I

Hiii, I need some advice about writing the MCAT and what worked for people and what did not. First off, does anyone know where to find a test bank of questions for each subject (biology, biochem, etc) or even for each section?? Second, how did you study using books? I bought the princeton book set and I have heard some people recommend skimming through, then read through again taking notes, then attempt questions, etc. But I am not sure how to go about it with the books. Please give me any advice you have and any resources you found helpful!! I appreciate your help in advance.

Hi everyone! Last summer, I wrote the MCAT and scored 500, so I need to rewrite it for the schools I want to apply to. The thing is, last summer I was working full-time in a lab and really struggled to balance working and studying for the MCAT (cause I had signed up for one of those prep courses). This year, I was offered the same position in the lab and it would be full time. I really want to work for the experience and it strengthens my CV; however, I'm not really sure how to balance the working and studying? Any advice? This summer is my last chance to write the MCAT if I want to be ab

Hi everyone, I just started studying from Kaplan books and reached a minor dilemma. I covered the first chapter for Biochem today, and wasn't able to find a series of corresponding practice questions that would allow me to consolidate all the info I've read. I have practice passages from Next Step practice books, but they are do not have a focus on particular MCAT topics. Does anyone have any suggestions for practice materials that focus on particular topics? I strongly feel this would help me consolidate the concepts I've read. I know Khan academy has some questions, but I think there a

Hi there, I am a grade 11 honours/AP student who has a passion for sciences and medicine. Recently I've been browsing these forms and I've seen that this site is generally a good place to gain advice from former students about University and post graduate endeavours, so I thought, 'hey, why not give it a try'. I am here to ask if anyone knows of any successful and fulfilling (financial and personally fulfilling) fields to go into after an undergraduate program such as Biomedical Sciences, Health Sciences and/or Biochemistry. I am also open to taking/planning on attending graduate sc

This set of Examkrackers MCAT, 10th Edition books is in very good condition (9/10) - these are the newest version of the Examkrackers set! The books are in great condition because I only read the books for several hours - and then I decided that MCAT science was too challenging for me... There were some light pencil marks on a few pages in total (at most 20 pages), which have since been for the most part erased. There are absolutely no markings on the pages with quizzes or exams, and there are no pen or highlighter markings anywhere in the books. The pages and the corners of the pages

Hi, I'm currently studying for my MCAT end of April. Is there anyone here who'd be down to form a study group in London?

I wrote my DAT for the first time in Nov 2016 and was not happy following the results. I would really appreciate any updated advice or anything from those successful, especially following Nov 2016. I studied for this exam for 1.5 months so I knew for sure my preparation lacked good practice in RC and PAT. I am re-writing in Feb and really need some help going forward as I am feeling lost. My scores were: 21 Chem, 21 Bio, 17 RC, 18 PAT I did not give PAT much time so I think I have to do much more practice to get it up, but I was expecting much worse. My main huge concern has alw

Hello, I'm looking for someone to study for the MCAT with in Montreal. In my experience, studying with a like-minded person helps both parties stay motivated and on track. I have just began studying, my test date is August 20th. Thanks!
