Hi everyone, This is my first time here on Premed 101 Forums. I'm a Canadian premed student who has been very concerned for the health and safety of examinees like myself who have and will be writing the MCAT during a pandemic. Our fellow peers who are immunocompromised are at a greater risk, however they have no choice but to put their lives at risk by writing the MCAT during these time. I myself am mainly worried about the health of an immediate family member with whom I live. The AAMC has not been cooperative enough to add more test dates in September or any in October, or to allow the

Hello everyone, This is my first post on premed101, how exciting! I'm thinking about sending the U of T/Western/Queens/Dalhousie admissions committee a letter regarding the recent announcement that Winter 2020 grades will not be used in GPA calculations this year, and for all subsequent years. I understand that some students have been subject to unfair grading, and would prefer this term not count due to these unforeseen circumstances. However, it hardly seems fair to say point blank that no student's Winter 2020 semester will count as a result. I do have a personal gripe with this

I received my UofT invitation yesterday for March 28th(completely caught off-guard by this!). I'm hoping if anyone who has experience with the Modified Personal Interview (MPI) style could give me any tips or resources on preparation since it seems quite different from the rest of Med schools (MMI, panel). Additionally, if there's anyone looking to practise in Vancouver (or surrounding cities), we could start a practice group. Also more than happy to practise online via skype. This is my first time applying and the only invitation I've received, so I have no prior experience with the

Hi ! I've been admitted into U of T's medical school in my year 3 of undergrad, so I won't graduate with a BSc. Will I be disadvantaged in any way when applying for research, shadowing, and even residency? Or in any other aspects? Any insight would greatly be appreciated!!

Hey! I'm leaning towards choosing the PB Academy - however the transportation seems to be one reason people don't choose this academy. I would appreciate any help figuring out my options to make the travelling convenient and to see if PB is the academy for me! 1) Where exactly on campus does the free shuttle to Sunnybrook run from? 2) Would I need to travel to Sunnybrook after classes in the Medical Sciences building? (so the only commute I'd need to do is from Med Sci to the shuttle location on campus? How far of a walk would this be?) 3) Where do medical students in gene

Hi! Regarding this requirement (written below) for students accepted into U of T in their 3rd year of undergrad: "If you are enrolled in a four-year degree program, submit a letter from your Registrar indicating that you have completed the third year requirements of a four-year degree program, plus a final transcript showing completion of Year Three courses, with final grades. This condition must be fulfilled by June 30, 2017" 1) How/to whom do we submit the official letter from the Registrar? (i.e. does the Registrar directly send it to UME? Or do I submit it myself to UME via mai
