dopamineislife Posted July 2, 2018 Report Share Posted July 2, 2018 I'll be writing my MCAT August 25, but unfortunately won't receive my results until September 25, which is just a few days before OMSAS deadline for applications. When is the best time to ask my referees then? I was thinking after my MCAT and going off how I felt I did, but would one month be enough notice for the referees? EDIT: I'll be applying to MD/PhD, which requires an additional reference letter from the referees, so basically 2 letters each. So not sure if 1 month would be fine? Yes I know that many of them won't start until maybe a weekend before it's due but you don't want the blame to be on you. One month should be a good amount of time but it doesn't hurt to let them know you will be requesting a letter before that. In case their personal lives have something already booked for September.
