Worth a shot?

Hi,

I am a final year PhD student who plans to apply for a bunch of Med schools this year, with the hope of getting any offers,

I was wondering is it worthy to apply to UCalgary?

I have lined in AB for 2 years so I'm an Alberta resident, hold a Master's degree and doing a PhD now (last year), undergraduate GPA is 3.96, published a few research papers, conferences and have quite a few volunteering and EC experiences etc..so everything seems fine, but the only problem is my MCAT which is quite low...total=505, CARS=125,

Is it worth a try? or my MCAT would make the chance too low?

Definitely apply. Your GPA, PhD and Masters will make up for your weaker MCAT. I interviewed last year with a 506 MCAT (127 CARS) but I don't have a masters or PhD!
