McGill gpa calculations/weighting?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, I was wondering if McGill (MDCM) applies any formula on how they evaluate your GPA. So far, all I could find was that they consider your overall GPA (which I assume is what they mean by DegGPA but please correct me if I'm wrong), and post-interview, they consider your science GPA. Is that it? Or do they place weight on more recent years completed? Lastly, what is the average competitive in-province applicant's GPA? Thanks for your help.

Pre-interview: There is no weighting. GPA is assessed cumulatively, hence cGPA.

Post-interview: Prereq GPA forms 20% of your final ranking; 80% being your MMI performance.

For IP university students, average of those who received an interview is 3.88 for Fall 2018 admissions, and 3.84 for Fall 2017 admissions.
