How long should a reference letter be?

usually a full page to a page to at most two I think is the norm

paragraphs are arranged in themes, and each paragraph can have one or two solid examples. Something like 3 of those paragraphs wouldn't be unusual.

all of this is a bit rough as there is room for personal style

ha yeah sorry - typing too fast over here. 

it isn't all that different than a standard 3 paragraph essay in high school 

Sally would be an amazing doctor ! because she is compassionate, hard working and a skilled at academics.

I have seen her being compassionate .......

I know she is hard working because......

She is great at academics as seen in

I full support Sally's application to med school........

 and so on. :)
