uOttawa MD2021 StudentReps
Calling all medical school applicants… This is a reminder that interview acceptances are coming soon… BUT, before complete terror sets in, we are pleased to announce the return of the annual uOttawa Med Prep Day. Overcome your fears by joining students from the class of 2021, as you learn how to tackle MMI and panel style interviews, strategize your way through ethics questions, and receive helpful tips for your interview day. This full day of activities includes morning lectures and afternoon small-group practice. Lunch is provided, and will be served during a special presentation on remaining motivated and healthy throughout the interview/admissions process. All proceeds from Med Prep Day go towards the MD2021 class charity, Pancreatic Cancer Canada. By joining us, you not only strengthen your interviewing skills, but also support an incredible organization. Med Prep Day is open to all students who have applied to medicine, regardless of your chosen school or interview invitation status. In order to save time, presentations will be given in English, while questions and small group activities will be available in English and French. Date: February 2, 2019 Location: Roger Guindon Hall, 451 Smyth Rd, Ottawa, ON Time: 8:30AM - 5:00PM Cost: $45 Capacity: 80 people Link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/med-interview-prep-day-tickets-54314090908?aff=medprep If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Med Prep organizers Nicole and Christopher, at admissionsmd2021@gmail.com. ---- A special note for attendees: We recognize that the medical school application process is expensive, and not all students can easily afford it. We also recognize the importance of equal access to practice materials and opportunities, regardless of socioeconomic background. For this reason, if the price of the Med Prep Day ticket is a barrier to your participation in the event, please contact us. We will be in touch with you to better understand your situation and determine a solution to the problem.
