ICU elective at Dalhousie vs U of T (Sunnybrook)

I'm currently trying to decide between an ICU elective at Dalhousie (Queen Elizabeth II) or U of T (Sunnbrook) in July. Does anyone have any idea which one might be better?  My understanding is that Dalhousie might be a smaller centre, and would therefore be better for procedures and teaching time, but I'd love to hear what others would have to say about it.

I can't speak about Dal.  I can offer an informed opinion about Sunnybrook:  you will see a large volume of really sick patients, and get great teaching from world class experts.

Where would you rank higher for residency? Go to that place. Unless you've got a bunch of electives in one location and you've like to explore the other. You'd probably get great education in both places. I've done CTU at both and had great experiences.

I would go to whichever you feel like you would want to do residency in. Just be aware that Sunnybrook is a high volume center with a lot of acuity but also a lot of fellows and residents. Just because a center deals with high acuity doesn't necessarily mean as a medical student it is a better learning experience.
